Agree. Watched Dano's video, and thought "well, I certainly ain't gonna buy THAT guitar!" Then, happened on this one with RJ playing and now I'm ordering one. I still pretty much hate that piezo tone, but LOVE the lipstick p'up sound. Thick and gutsy.

Does it have a D or a C neck? Is it light weight? Can you play it unplugged? How high is the action? Is this more for slide or finger style or 50/50? Jimmy Page has had a Danelectro forever and he played it on all of the Zep albums. Pretty kewl. Nice looking, too. :D

Its kinda meant to be more like that. Kinda more like a regular electric with a resonator, which is why it has a solid body. Eastwood makes a 1000 dollar guitar not too dissimilar to this.

Bob Pike I just asked him about that on one of his Saturday Q & A’s. He said he does not recall making any adjustments, just played out of the box. I want to have the action raised on mine but I’m not sure how to do that on a resonator like this, will have to find a person or shop to help me with that.

@@rodwoodruff5493 Hey man, thanks! I've kept it as is and I'm having a swell time. The trick is to learn to play more subtly which may mean trying different slides. I have a very heavy and long Dunlop slide which I plan to have cut down to above the knuckle of the ring finger length. Another way to make it work is to tune up to open E. I showed it to my friend who is a great slide player and he told me that it was fine so long as you adjust the technique. Good luck and have

I concur. I was at Starving Musician an hour ago & could not get a resonator tone from this Korean-made axe. I thought maybe I didn't manage the controls properly. But Señor Ronquillo, a stellar axeman, accurately depicts the sonic qualities of this guitar. Well, resonator is a derivative of resonance, & there isn't much resonance from a solid plywood body.
