Blech, no! NOT "true love"! Makes for a kinda fun idea and gimmick for a MOVIE! Lots of problems with all this in real life. And sooo many plot holes - needed a good script doctor. Also, and even so, still one of my fave SRK films (I have a lot of fave SRK films) but I also really didn't like the music - I was really surprised that a movie like this - about dancing / that really needing good music, didn't. This and Dil to Pagal Hai had surprisingly and very oddly, bad music.

That’s not what it is.. it’s his love and how went out of the way to woo her. It’s about unconditional and selfless love. She had dreams before marrying him & he tried fulfilling it by being Raj, which made her realise true love for Surinder. The ‘not recognising’ part is meant to symbolic.

you’re wrong, this is not true love!! if it was then they would communicate with each other about their marital problems instead of him deceiving her by turning into a different person. Imagine how torn an ACTUAL person would be if they found out their friend was actually her obsessive husband whose turning into diff people to connect to her. this is stupid, communication is important in a marriage or a relationship. For me, this movie is best romance movie of india i ever had watched. I watched this long time ago when i was senior high school. For me, right now still the best.

I really wonder how can one think of such a story. A man (surindar) is heart broken due to taniya loving himself (raj) only, and raj is happy on tani partner leaving him for himself (surinder). Such emotions are rare. Such creation is devine. Hats off to the one who has written this story.

the most profound line in the film is when she says "I cant return the love that you have given me" or something to that effect.

That's what common man in love with his partner in india. Superbly acted. Heart full emotions.

In this whole song all music starts from his new dancing partner but masterpiece stroke comes when this last music comes and this is the only point where whole movie recollects itself and brings us back the Surinder Sahnis first song to his wife.
