Reminds me of a time I was DMing and one of the players cast Irresistible Dance on the boss. She was immune to charm, but she started dancing anyways and didn’t stop for most of the fight, continuing to kick their asses the whole time.

I just love that Karlach is always up to dance, even without the spell.

My favorite thing about this, is that while Mizora disappears when you cast it on her concentration is still gained, so while she is presumably in one of the layers of the 9 hells, she is still groovin'

its surprising we even need to charm astarion to have him dance on the corpse of his enemies, you'd think he'd do that on his own 😂

I mean *technically* it's because of Zariel's Protection interpreting Otto's Dance as a hostile action, causing her to vanish. That said we should totally complain to Larian about this so they'll make OIR *not* trigger Zariel's Protection, and have them add voicelines where Mizora gets progressively more and more annoyed with the player if they keep on doing it

The first time I saw Karlach dancing, I thought she was bugging out. But when she started doing it often, I charmed others to join her. She is really an interesting character

This makes me wish that each companion had their own dance when hit by Otto's Irresistible Dance.

Karlach hitting the griddy over top of random corpses has happened multiple times in my playthrough, and it is always at least amusing. In the Shadowfell, I chose the wrong dialogue options while conversing with her & Nightsong, and ended up knocking her out. Naturally, I had hoped to avoid this, but such is life. I naively hoped that, if I killed her and cast revivify, that would at least bring her back into the fold, probably with hurt feelings. So, naturally, I stabbed her to move her from knocked out to dead. I then pulled out my scroll of revivify, and as I went to cast it, at the exact moment I realized it would not work and Shadowheart was permanently dead, Karlach deicded to bust a move directly atop her corpse. I was nearly incapacitated laughing for almost a minute.

Karlach dancing on Gort's corpse and Astarion on Cazador's were the highlights for me

Astarions wet footsteps in the blood in the absolute silence at the end 😂

0:38 This is literally a beautiful cinematic shot. A gorgeous view of a castle with Astarion in the distance, randomly perching atop a four story high building and dancing like there's no tomorrow is enough to bring anyone to tears.

@@mr.j410 No. I'm 100% sure I hate dancing. Nor to my favourite music or with beloved partner. I even took 1 year of dance lessons. I got better at it, but still felt nothing. It's completely mechanical thing to me. I don't see the reason to do more complicated moves than nod my head to the music. Why do I put my hand there and leg there, why spinning. And I don't like to watch other people dance. It all doesn't make sense to me.

Dumb stuff like this is exactly why Baldurs Gate 3 is amazing. You could just have Astarion dancing in blood puddles from the corpse of his tormentor, having only creepy, crypt-like ambience as the background noise, while his party silently watches. Truly GOTY material

I have a scroll of Otto's Irresistible Dance and am fighting Cazador...I now know exactly what to do with this.

You can make Withers sort of dance. I attacked volo in camp and when dame Aylin saw, she attacked me. Withers started this weird twitching dance lol… in the middle of combat 😂
