I gotta say, a lot of people are saying "old days heavy choreography" but ON and Black Swan were released only last year, and they themselves said ON is the hardest choreo they've ever done so,, I don't??? get it??????

Me either, it wasn’t that long ago that they performed ON either.. during award shows in Korea! Of course it was without Yoongi but still they did hard choreography not that long ago honestly... kinda 😂 some time has passed.

Agree, he's progress in dance are cool

The thing with bts is even even the choreo is not that complicated it's really hard to cover their songs becuz there's this vibe that they emit that it's hard for others to replicate. Also I think they went a little light on the choreo becuz of Yoongi since he just recovered from the shoulder surgery. Also notice most of the movement are footwork.

it’s jus a lot of footwork n hand movements at the same time that’s why it’s harder then we think, Bts has been doing it since debut by using their feet’s to follow the best while doing different moves or the opposite

If you don’t have the attitude of the song then the minimum cool step won’t look right. But they get that and are so good at it. Lots of confidence in their individual styles as well. Love it!

Jimin’s dance is always the most captivating to me ! I always find him even if he’s on the back row !!! The detail on his body roll with the finger movements!

My eyes follow Jimin. He's amazing. Jimin's dancing line stands out and is beautiful~ Thank you for your butter reaction.

also keep in mind that suga is still recovering from surgery so this more relaxed vibe and more footwork focused choreo seems to be the safer way to go

They are pretty awsome. Only 2 members with dance experience before joining BTS, J-Hope 6 years at a dance academy and with a street dance crew, Jimin studied contemporary, rest learned as years went by.

I think this piece is so effective and effortless because of BTS’ experience with performing and dancing. It’s simple, clean, and with a whole lot of personality bcos BTS has already perfected their dancing as a group/unit, they move and breathe as a group and their habits are so good, so disciplined and as individuals as well, they already know and are comfortable in performing and acting on stage . This type of choreo can easily look messy or boring if the dancers performing arent as experienced or confident as the members are.

My favorite part is during the repeated choreo during the line "I've got the superstar glow". 1st time Jin shoots & RM knocks the 'bullet' away but the 2nd time when Jimin is the one shooting RM catches it. 💜

I think another reason that they've had lighter choreography for recent comebacks is because they know that they'll probably be touring with all of these songs (if concert tours are ever possible again lol) and there are limits to how much they can push themselves physically when they're on tour... but yeah they also had On and Black Swan just a year ago

So true somtimes it is just about vibing and sharing tbe joy of music and dance. Also they never did map of the soul 7 on tour so we're going to have " ON" and "black swan" and those are really demanding choreo so they need their new choreos to be easier and having more celebration vibe (while waiting to go back on tour). People need to remember they usually don't release just one song but a whole album but because of the pandemic they are still giving us something to enjoy. They are the only big name who are giving us so much during the pandemic (new songs, concerts, shows, interview) so yes I totally agree with you.

Yes, RM mentioned they made this summer song & dance simple & fun so everyone can sing along and copy the dance movements.

The opening choreo also gives me vibes of grease or West side story. Just the way they roll out like a wave with jk leading. Very smooth, oddly nostalgic and just plain cool. I could say the same for the whole dance routine tbh.

FAKE LOVE mv had a similar "roll out" near the beginning. Many appreciate the group for all the intelligent and creative (and often humorous) references they make in their productions, to world-wide culture, science, etc and to their own works, including the enigmatic BANGTAN UNIVERSE fictional storyline.

Synchronized yet so different is like the perfect way to describe not just their performance energy but their team dynamic! And yes, the vibess I think that that's what's hard about simple choreo in comparison to more intense choreo which as you said they can pull off both 💜

I feel the same. Miss all the old routines but the great thing is they don't need to be choreo heavy to bring a great performance. They always find the best way to showcase the song and themselves while keeping things fresh.

the "hard choreography" is not very applicable at the moment considering the health of Yoongi whose still recovering.

Yah... I don't dance, but I can feel it. I'm feeling that vibe. The dance break sequence... yah, that's tight... the isolations and body control... on point... I can watch it over and over and it's so satisfying... you just feel it, like an "ah" in your mind.

it's only been a little over a year after ON... or was that not "heavy choreography"?

I’m glad they’re doing these fun choreos lately for many different reasons like their harder ones are so exhausting for them and sometimes they overwork themselves a bit too much, and they need a break tbh. Especially with Suga still healing up after his surgery they added lots of footwork just to be safe with that, though they did IDOL again at the Festa online concert last month so he may be ready to do the harder ones again maybe if they modify some of the movements. ✌🏼💜

Appreciate the thoughtful reaction. Although I love their choreos, it is truly amazing to see their skills shining through a comparatively lighter choreo. Only masters can make things look easy

About the practice room, if you look on the left hand side you will see blinds pulled down so they can have a longer dance floor for dance practice videos. They practice sideways on the floor ( from this angle) with the blinds up with the mirrors. I agree it is a great looking studio.

Bts is doing more dances recently that fans can learn to do. Here's to hoping they trigger a new dancing era among their fellow western artists. I miss that. Every artist had their own dance moves and people would be trying to copy them lol. I miss when music was fun. Now only a few artists even bother.

Thank you for the reaction, kinda.. lol the song is so damn good imho and I kinda like it more than dynamite but also would never skip dynamite soooo I love both no matter what 😆 and as a handful of people have mentioned, the choreography is probably on the easier side because of Yoongi’s shoulder, as it’s still fully healing. We should be getting an album later in the year so we’ll see how that goes when it comes (choreography and song wise) but the choreography fits with this song perfectly just as the choreography for dynamite fit with it perfectly! I’m just happy Yoongi is back with the guys during this comeback, I missed him a lot during Life Goes On promotions and award shows, just feels great having all 7 again but as 6 they always killed it!!

There are other artits, like TXT, EVERGLOW, OH MY GIRL... Their songs are really good.

BTS did gave up the one like person synchronized dance and decided to interpret the choreo on their own ways but still looks in synch which adds tons of colors and textures to the choreography itself. Also the hard choreos aren't completely gone, remember last year they did ON and Black Swan. They just added a new style of dancing which is less is more. They are just more versatile than ever.

This song is also more of a summery, joyful vibe and usually when BTS does songs like this the choreo is mostly pretty "simple" or not has demanding as their more powerful, serious songs. Also the fact that BTS wanted the choreo's for dynamite and butter to be relatively "easy" so ARMY could do covers :) but they are still choreo kings and will most likely do a more demandning choreo soon.
