Also their were women in the church gossiping about me so the holy spirit told me to go to the front and give a testony that l had experienced has l was speaking all these clouds were going over my head even though.we were inside l felt do blessed in Jesus name

I have been studying today the story of the woman who took her alabaster box containing valuable spices and perfumes to anoint the head of our Lord Jesus Christ. There were some religious leaders who saw her actions and got angry declaring “what a waste this could have been sold and the money given to the poor”. What absolutely gut wrenching words for our Lord to hear! The beautiful actions of this woman became stained by the ugliness of the human heart betrayed by the mouths of men. I read the story a couple of times because it didn’t indicate whether it was one of the disciples or a religious leader who made this comment. So my thoughts were that it was probably a religious leader. But why did they say this? Were they trying to look knowledgeable in the matters of the Law? Were they trying to show our Lord Jesus Christ up because He allowed this woman to anoint Him? Either way I think it’s doubtful that they were really concerned about the welfare of the poor. However, at the request of Christ, they were to immortalise her act of love in the pages of the Gospel, so this is an important story that Christ wants us to know about, so it deserves to be studied and discussed with others. Clearly there’s a message in the example of love for each and every one of us. But, it’s a story we can take heart in, remembering that Jesus knew rejection and a ton of criticism too, because whoever said that the alabaster box and its contents should be sold and the money distributed to the poor, were implying that Christ was putting himself before the welfare poor!! So they didn’t have any understanding of who Jesus actually was!!! Also, in Mark 3 v 21 we read that on one occasion even His family thought He was mad and went out to “lay hold on Him”. So, those of us who have experienced rejection and cruelty at the hands of our supposed friends and family, Jesus is there with us throughout our suffering and remains when we start to feel the loneliness, sadness and depression which comes from the rejection. I am on the verge of 60 and I have had difficulties throughout my 6 decades but I am glad I experienced what I have as I may not be the person I am today! But, more importantly, I might not have Jesus Christ in my life!!!!!! Praise His Holy Name!
