The dance Thunders Shake the Mountains and Rivers, performed by dancers Tang Shiyi and Hu Yang, tells the touching story of warriors and a white-haired army defending the country for 40 years in the Tang Dynasty. The dance incorporates elements from the "Twelve-tone Thunder God Drums” found in Cave 285 of the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, and shows the Chinese nation's indomitable and courageous spirit.
