Dance of the winter spirits
Музыка
Happy new year everyone! I felt like it was only fitting to bring some dance and energy to the beginning of the year. For those who do not know, my mother Kjersti is a Flamenco teacher and dancer. We both enjoyed experimenting a bit with the contrast of Flamenco (which is a fiery dance) and the snow that came over Christmas. It became a dance of the winter spirits, and I decided that I want to share it with you.
Currently working on my next vlog, hopefully it will be out soon. So if you feel confused by this new dance content here, do not worry I will be back to normal. I just think we should let loose a little now at the start of the new year, have fun, dance, sing, summon the spirits of the winter and ask them to be with you into this new year! I wish you all the best
My mother teaches Flamenco in Stavanger mostly but is also travelling for work. She can be contacted at: dahl.kjersti@gmail.com or you can request to be part of the course group: / 809052589259219

Glad you like it! We found the contrast fun to play with :-)
As a not only Spanish, but Andalusian from Seville, who has grown seeing flamenco dance anywhere around me, I have to say I am impressed by your mum's art. So beautiful it melts my heart. ❤

Thank you so much, thats a huge compliment coming from an Andalusian from Sevilla! I'm sure my mother will be glad. She started learning it in Granada, where she lived on and off for a while. She brought me a few times too when I was a kid, I have very fond memories of the area.

Flamenco and snow. A contrasting combination I've never seen before, making a lovely video to start the year. Happy new year to you and yours Maria. Thank you for adding so much to 2022. I look forward to all you will bring to 2023.

Wow! does your mother teach Flamenco in Norway? such a graceful and beautiful lady. The deep snow does add something to the artistic expression.

Yes, she mostly travels to Stavanger on the west coast and teaches there because there is more interest in it there. Thank you, I think so too
Beautiful! My daughter learns flamenco and I've been wanting to start too. This video is very inspiring.

That is so cool! I have learned a bit myself when I was younger, it is very technically demanding but gives such a kick when you get it right!

Truly touching video. Beautiful, deep, connected, empowered, balanced, powerful - to witness a woman expressing these aspects is so moving and inspiring, I just love it, thank you both for sharing this beautiful expression of the feminine with us🙏 💛💛💛 Dancing was my oxygen, once upon a time, so I really appreciate this on a personal level 🙏😊🌹 and the music and setting in Mother Nature is perfect! 😊👌👏👏👏
