"Dance of the Hands", Yuliyana Krivoshapkina
Music and choreography by Yuliyana
I will gently touch
The mysterious khomus,
And my soul will sing full of love
Setting us both to fly.
Khomus is ringing, singing and rippling,
Glorifying the life to the dance of hands -
We will fly on these fine wings
Creating all the happiness with sounds.

She put 1000% effort to have it done well. And she got it.
How does this not have over 1 million views. That was one of the most amazing things ive ever seen.

Because she blinks her eyes each time she nearly smacks herself in the face?

Because theres a hundred videos of people doing the same thing, she just dressed different and makes horse sounds. You need to get out more often
С какой скоростью двигаются руки - камера не фиксирует. Сколько модуляций звука... Невероятно.

What I don't understand is how on Earth can anyone hold the Khomus in the mouth like that with no hands....that's got to be so hard. Whenever I try to place it like that it feels impossible yet she makes it look like she glued it to her teeth or a ghost is holding it for her (obviously not, but just saying how good she makes it look like)

На моём языке хомус (з) - музыкальный инструмент, гармонь так называют. Есть агъач- хомуз.
This is stunning! I see its Yakut folk art, what were the khomus originally made of?

Thank you! The origin of khomus is probably central Asia, perhaps Altai. Khomus in a different forms can be found almost everywhere.

@@zsolovyev Thank you for the reply! Yes, jaw harp is nowadays almost a common instrument, I was wondering whether it was made always of steel, or did it had some form made of bones or wood maybe
@zsolovyev

@@ejkekjetternikemakosz1966 I have seen them made out of the wood, bones, different metals. Sakha khomus is made out of steel. Yuliyana uses mostly made by cratfsman Nikolai Luginov. Are you interested to learn how to play? Yuliyana teaches online too.
