@@cyberzangoose16I know I saw something about them working on it a couple months ago, but I doubt it's coming this year, if i had to guess sometime around march-may of next year, maybe i'm wrong, but I've noticed in recent times they drop an album every 2 years (Mothership 2016, Artificial Selection 2018, Afterburner 2020, Jackpot Juicer 2022) pattern suggests that we will get it sometime in 2024. But I could be wrong, Instant Gratification was 2015 and Mothership was 2016 so they have done it before.

I wasn't a big fan of Andrew up until these recent 2 DGD songs and now my mind has been changed 💜

I love Eidola and prefer Andrew as a backing vocalist in DGD. This band is at its best when Tilian and Jon play off one another. There's just too many cooks in the kitchen now with THREE vocalists.

Andrew officially joining DGD has upped both their vocal game, AND their guitar game. Didn't think that was possible, but all this low end 7 string stuff, thank Andrew!

Mothership is still to this day in my top 3 favorite albums of all time. They were at their peak and at their heaviest. This is clearly my favorite track from them since. It still doesn't dethrone like 90% of Mothership for me personally, but I really hope they'll keep going this path with the heavier parts, mostly in Tillian' sections. It was starting to get old that everytime he sings it gets into funky or poppy mode. He has an amazing range and I know it was probably very demanding vocally and Mothership is just insane in terms of vocal delivery, but his harsher vocals were so freakin good on that album. Clearly he brought it back to a certain degree on this song and that's awesome.

The real problem with Tilian recently, other than the sexual abuse, is that he never goes to the low-register singing or the real distorted screaming - even on studio recordings. I liked Jackpot Juicer, but Tilian phoned it in a bit except for a few select moments.

There are so many good DGD songs, but I think Young Robot, NASA, or Hair Song. This one is definitely a banger!

Definitely keeps you itching for more. And it feels different. 9.1/10 Also, i love Stroke God Millionaire, Lemon Meringue Tie, and Young Robot

Prisoner is my most fav song and current events and polka dot dobbins and times new Roman and the backwards pumpkin song and frozen one and pretty much all their songs from all their albums and I’m only 12 years old and thanks to my mom and dad for showing my Dgd. I’ve seen them twice and I’ve seen Kurt Travis like 6 times and I love it. I might go see Jonny Craig sing Emarosa songs.

Of all the new songs, this is my favorite since the albums Jonny was in the band on.

This song is by far THE DARKEST song that Dance Gavin Dance have put out, "Man of the Year" and "Say Hi" are dark as well but nothing comes close to "War Machine." Also I got goosebumps when Tilian sang the chorus. The first line "Didn't wanna have to sing about a tragedy/(But they've been) Overwhelmingly consuming me," is clearly a reference to the passing of their bassist Tim Feerick Obviously, no one wants to talk about a tragic event in their lives. They would rather move on and forget about it. But there are times where that event is so powerful, then it just eats away at whoever it affected. And the only way to pretty much let it all go is to express it whether it be through music, a scene in a novel, movie, tv show, play, etc. The passing of Tim really hit Tilian, Jon, Will, Matt and Andrew and everyone who knew him HARD. And it consumed them to the point where it almost destroyed them early on after. But they were able to push through that pain and recorded two songs about it. "The Ghost of Billy Royalton" was clearly talking about Tim and how the band is reliving everything that they did when he was alive and his favorite things like Star Wars and Jurassic Park "War Machine" on the other hand, while I am not entirely sure what the rest of the song is about, the chorus is about trying to move on from Tim's passing, but Tilian can't. It is consuming him to the point where he needed sing about it and bring some closure. I am not good with analyzing stuff like this, but i hope it makes some form of sense.

Firet song i heard on spotify shuffle was deception. It blew my tiny mind having known the name for so long but having never listened, id never have guessed they sounded like that. So ill say that. To this day its held up, its still incredible. Kinda fell off them as every following release felt weaker than the last, mothership obviously being the peak for me, but i must say prisoner and now this are some of my dgd favourites.

Hard to pick a favorite DGD song but the one that I feel is most underrated (AKA worst ratio of how good it is : how popular it is) is definitely Blood Wolf, that song bangs so hard and is so under appreciated

OK this is a phenomenal song I rate it a 9.0 and I love Dance Gavin Dance and their music and their style and I’m glad they’re going on a different direction here and being hard but my song of the year is an it’s a collaboration who you are high on metalbirb disembodied tyrant synestia the poetic that man that song is epic an insanely powerful awesome fire
