this is a live studio album... thats just his voice lol. im making my way though and i cant wait for the afterburner songs because that album was overproduced to the point i hated it.

The overall chill yet upbeat sound of this makes me think back to when I was 9-10 years old, not a Care in the world. Riding my bike around the quiet neighborhood on a breezy new york spring day hearing wind chimes in the background, smelling fresh cut grass, clean air and flowers.
jon sounds crazy good
This was one of the most surprising and amazing choices on the entire setlist, and it was one I was pulling for the entire time. I actually couldn't believe they chose it! This song means so much to me. I remember when I first heard IG, I didn't like it whatsoever, but once I paid attention to the lyrics and what it was about, it gained so much more meaning. My favorite Tilian lyrics are definitely when he sarcastically takes himself out with pure self-awareness, and this song is the best example of that, in my opinion. It feels so raw yet humorously-detached. The dichotomy between his line "I wanna be somebody" and "Your life is a joke, don't make this awkward" combined with the section detailing his struggle with his ego ("Now and then, I get a little bit full of myself...") is painful and honest in a weird way that very few lyricists tackle. Let's be honest! No one wants to be taken down a peg, especially not by their own anxieties, but in this song I feel like Tilian does some self-psychoanalysis that feels super-honest and almost humorous in how tongue-in-cheek the delivery is. It's like a battle back-and-forth between different voices in his head, but they're all delivered in the same way, which makes sense, because many of us might have these alternate ways of thinking about our "selves," but we don't necessarily give them individual voices... the "awkwardness" in this song, then, comes into play with Tillian's fractured and negative valuation of his self-worth, which seems to oscillate throughout the song. It's just interesting as hell in a way that many bands don't even touch lyrically.

It's weird I actually got a completely different vibe on it, like a sarcastic one. Kind of a "fuck you" to people who bring you back to Earth when you try to pursue your dreams. The "who knows where I'd be without you" really sealed it for me, but maybe I'm just a cynic. Lol
Love this so much. Tilian, Jon, William, Tim, Matthew. You guys are fucking wonderful.
