Danao City Ordinance No. 22-19 (An Ordinance Adopting the Danao Among Pinangga as the Official Hymn of Danao City)

On June 6, 1999, the City Government through the Danao City Tourism Council conducted the grand finals of the "Search for Danao City Hymn" in which "Danao Among Pinangga" composed by the late Mr. Benjamin Managase came out as the winner.
The 9th Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Danao passed Resolution No. 118, series of 1999 adopting the "Danao Among Pinangga" as the official City hymn but there was no enabling law enacted for the purpose.
Since then, the City of Danao has adopted in practice the song which was composed by Mr. Managase.
To inculcate respect for the Danao City Hymn and to provide uniform standard for its observance in official functions and non-official functions of the different offices as well as residents of the City Danao, this ordinance was made.
On motion of Hon. Roland Reyes duly seconded by Hon. Jovelina Enriquez and Hon. Celso Meca, the 15th Sangguniang Panlungsod enacts the said ordinance- under the leadership of Mayor Ramon "Nito" Durano III and Vice Mayor Thomas Mark "Mix" Durano.
Adopted unanimously on March 26, 2019 and approved on April 4, 2019.
