Ultimately, Rose needs to take responsibility for that awful fight, but her corner also shoulders some of the blame. For a while, all i've been hearing is how great Trevor Wittman is... The way he was encouraging Rose to continue to be passive and timid was infuriating. How can he be so clueless? Or maybe he is just a yes-man... too scared to tell Rose that she is absolutely blowing the fight, so instead just sucks up "YES! Hear the booing? That means you're winning" lmfao what a clown

Might be the most frustrating UFC fight I’ve ever watched. Rose has the tools to put Carla away but wouldn’t engage and would disengage quickly any chance she had. They’re both at fault but that was awful.

Rose is a very fearful n unconfident person. Everyone somehow thinks because she fights that proves the opposite but it doesnt. She can barely look someone in their eyes n THATS with all the confidence building things she does like martial arts n before all her big fights she wouldnt make it to the fight without thst big camp of supporters she keeps. She needs a full camp just to get her scary ass to show up. But she is a talented fighter but her issues won't improve in a gym

Awful night for everybody. Seriously. With Rose alone losing the belt she just regained by sticking to a irrelevant incredibly stupid game plan, the media destroying her as we speak, to losing something in her fans whether it’s respect, hype, or an entire fan period. And of course Carla Esparza who was waiting so patiently for a slip up but had a ego filled butterfly dancing around in the octagon still traumatized by their first meeting, I can only imagine Carla is upset at the way the belt was won. And all us fans who had to watch that especially us who love a good female title fight. now we have people wanting to cut women from the ufc! Thanks for potentially ruining ufc 275 ladies! I hope everyone brushes this shit off and tune in to watch 2 bad ass strawweights go at it in June along with the great Valentina shevchenko having her first TRUE test. Yeah, if your plan was to not do anything and attempt to win the fight with one take down that's a losing plan. If your plan was to lose the fight, then props to you, your plan worked. It was like both of them didn't want to lose, and neither of them truly wanted to win.

Please don’t ever let there be another fight like this again, if there hasn’t been a certain amount of grapples or strikes in the first round the referee should just default the match no contest. This is the UFC not boxing. No offense to boxing either but in MMA two fighters should not be circling around each other the entire match. Last PPV I’ll be buying for sure.

We've all seen this before, fighters fear losing the title more than defending so they dance around the ring never taking any chances or risks. Rose let everyone down in that fight, her corner was 100% wrong in telling her she was 4 rounds up, if I were her I'd fire the idiot. When you are the champion it is up to you to keep the momentum going the Challenger can cruise the entire time like she did and unfortunately so did Rose. It was the most boring fight of the night and how Rose thought she actually won was even more surprising. Hopefully she comes back and does better

Both fighters played it safe and respect each other to much. No one wanted to take risks. Rose probably thinking about her first fight and Carla thinking about her wedding night.

dana needs to put in a clause in fights like these. if its gets this bad both fighter lose a huge amount of the pay

@@timf6974 it will be reqlly interesting how joanna recovered physically. She was out 2 years. And for both of them once they start fighting i think psychology is everything. Weili had a tough fight that she won against joana, but she was then arguably at her best and had the 2 Rose setbacks. And joana could also be traumatized.

The female's divisions in this sport are so weak. The only people they can talk about for the title is people that have already lost it twice each. What a joke. Also, its time for Rose to hang it up. Her mental game has always been extremely weak, needing Pat to talk to her like she is 5, but this was something else. You could see the fear in her body language.

I don't understand how at this level both fighters put on an absolute snooze fest neither one deserves the title especially not Carla to me you need to win in spectacular fashion this was a lack luster fight both fighters had no urgency to do anything spectacular they both should be embarrassed and ashamed of that fight

Rose refused to engage all she done was run and kept her distance, very difficult to fight someone who employs such tactics, in the end it was a terrible fight but the judges got it right.

Rose didn't want to fight anymore, then don't let the belt go and don't fight.

If it were men it would be a different reaction. The reason unfortunately being we expect a boring fight when we see the fight on card already and are usually correct. Even if it’s a fight between two random guys I assume it’s gonna be somewhat good so when it’s not we’re surprised and pissed. “Oh the girl fight was more boring than usual? Cool.”

It should be on the challenger to take the belt from the champ. Rose shut down the only thing Carla does and Carla never went for it out of fear of getting peiced up. So how do you become champ from octagon control? Rose became champ by wrecking kicking someones head off caral became champ off of doing nothing just makes no sense. The belt should have to be taken and if a fight is a stale mate why should the champ make the dangerous attempt she already has the belt her job is to protect it. It's like someone winning king of the hill game by going half way up the hill and stoping then saying well you didn't knock me back down the hill so I guess I win I'm now king of the hill. Makes no sense what happened to Rose.

There is no rule in the judging criteria saying the champ gets favoritism. They were judged equally and Carla did more so she gets the win. The fact that a belt is on the line makes no difference.
