This is not about logic, he's just stating the regulations that are in place. UFC did not come up with these rules, the Athletic Comissions did and the UFC has to follow them whether they like it or not. If you don't agree with them, then blaim the government, don't shoot the messenger.

there is no fixed guide for how long murijuana would stay in your systems, situation varies depending on who is smoking. meaning, if you are an occasional smoker 5-10 days it will be cleared and outta the system, and lets not forget that there are some methods that help speed the process of detoxification.

If you are a frequent marijuana user, some metabolites can stay in your body for around 2 months. Even more reason why Diaz should not be suspended.

Ali Naz I'm aware of that, but Diaz is not an occasional smoker tho. Atleast 30 days for him. So if he smoked 30 days out and fails after the fight that's still in competition? LOL. Those methods don't work and it's too risky. Marijuana stays in the system longer than any other drug that I know of.

It's bullshit that Nick Diaz is going to get suspended and a bigger penalty then Jon Jones even though Diaz has a prescription card for Marijuana.

dumb explanation. if you smoke weed a month before your fight it could still potentially be in your system the night of the fight. cocaine will surely not be there after that same period of time.

The UFC must protect its biggest earners come what may. Dana is payed to stick up and over protect its main assets. UFC will implode on itself in time due to its utter greed.

***** You are right those are the right decisions but why wasn't this stuff forced on Silva. Silva did decline the Tuf coach spot but Dana was trying to talk him back into it and then the NASC stepped in but the fact that that was even an option in the first place is bullshit. Wanderlei did run which was stupid but he got banned from MMA for life which is a pretty harsh punishment what more could running have done if he tested positive same result. Chael Failed tests before but that was when Trt was legal so it was more of just a testosterone thing being extremely high. The last time on the other hand was off the charts and he is not banned from mma for life but he is suspended for so long it'll be passed his retirement. Lets get to Silva now the guy failed 2 drug tests which happened to be his first out of competition drug tests ever, he lied to everyone involved and here we are talking about coke and marijuana where one guy gets a $25,000 punishment and the other gets suspended and most likely when the case is final, fined. It just seems extremely stupid to say you're going to enforce the rules and regulations very strictly but most of the fighters caught get a slap on the wrist because they are so well known just seems rigged as fuck. They've fired people for missing weight, fired Marquardt for his testosterone for being high immediately granted he back now and fired people for marijuana but now that their money makers have broken the rules there are loop holes. Yea I do realize that but disciplinary acts of the UFC are usually up front and fast especially with their zero tolerance on PED so I guess this must be an exception. As far as the Jones situation goes who's to say Diaz used Marijuana in competition like I said before coke is in your system for like 4-5 days weed is in your system for about 60 days if you are an everyday heavy user which we know Diaz is. Just the fact that coke is highly illegal and marijuana is legal in some states shows that the non banned substance list is a load of shit (loop holes). Hmmm Diaz was what suspended for a year and had 30% of his purse taken away for what possibly smoking WEED with in 2 months that's reasonable. Yes Nate did pass his test before but that's only because they don't test for "Street Drugs" out of competition which is why Jones test results where not considered valid because the tested him with the wrong test. Either way you think about it the fact that Marijuana stays in your system much longer than cocaine still applies If he smoked out of competition it would still show up in his system not to mention 12 hours before competition still isn't in competition especially if the drug lasts an hour. Plus one is clearly more superior in the PED department in or out of competition. With Jones, I nor the test ever said he had low epitestosterone it was actually in fact extremely high. Which that usually happens when you use other drugs to cover up your PED use so it overlooks what they are actually looking for in the test. Why was Matt Riddle released for Marijuana usage if other people can get away with it? The whole point of my post is why is it ok for some and harsh punishments for others? If you listened to what I actually said it was that Dana White said Silva is still coach after the failed test results and the other article I was talking about was on BJPENN.com which I then said you are more than welcome to look for it because I sure in hell am not doing it because they post like 50 stories a day.
