Love this song by Dan Dan. As you say, he emotes his feelings and becomes the song. He connects totally with the song and takes you with him. You can not help but feel that you are in the presence of a kind, caring man.

This one was extra emotional for Dan as he recorded it 3 months after his father passed from cancer. If you watch closely you can see how he struggles with tears near the end. No wonder with these lyrics 😢

This rendition of Dan's had me tearing up, his voice is so beautiful when singing ballads.❤ Its like when a person sees or hears something so breathtakingly beautiful that it actually physically hurts, this is what happens to me when Dan sings this way. Thank you for this wonderful reaction, you articulate so well what makes Dan Vasc such an incomparable vocalist!❤❤ ❤

Dan was thinking about his dad when he did this song. That's partly why it's so powerful and emotional. Just three months before this, in October2017, Dan lost his dad to cancer and did An American Trilogy as an homage to him just a few days later. Excellent reaction to another excellent cover from Dan.

Thank you for your touching heartfelt reaction to this beautiful ballad. Only Dan Vasc could bring it to life in this way. Having bid farewell to my mother just a year ago he touched my heart where it needed to be touched. He just puts so much heart and emotion into everything he sings, and even in his talking to us. And, like you said, whether it is a ballad sound like this or a strong metal sound he just puts his heart and soul into everything he does and brings the power of music to us. Keep moving forward #VascNation!

I'm at 7:05 in your reaction video, and I'm loving it! I've just subscribed and liked this video (which I NEVER do before a reaction video has been completed, but what you've just said has been excellent, and I agree. Dan definitely becomes an incredible storyteller. I've been saying (since I first heard him sing "Amazing Grace), that Dan is a "true and perfect bard." That's exactly what the bards of old did. They took the news and told it in ways that stirred up the people they visited, in whichever way was intended. Sometimes the call was for peace, and/or for joy. Other times, the call was for war. At times, the call was a time for mourning. A GOOD bard not only had the correct information to hand out, but he handed it out in a meaningful manner to every different audience he had. In order to do that, he would have to have had prior knowledge of the way he was going to be received, and how the NEWS was going to be received, at every place along his way. Dan does that. The songs he chooses don't always please EVERYONE, but they are designed to meet the needs of the day, and he will always "tell it the way it is," with no hesitation. He also totally understands what the older metal music is about, and he takes advantage of it, not just because he loves to SING it, but because he holds the same values that are "coded" into the language of those songs. Dan is a WARRIOR...steadfast, and very sure of his own values (which are really good ones). Before I get back into this reaction...I've already checked through your catalog of existing Dan reactions, and I see that you haven't yet reacted to any of Dan's most recent offerings since "Amazing Grace. There are four of them... (1) "Where the Eagles Fly" was posted on March 12, 2023 (slightly over a month out from when "Amazing Grace was Posted." However, it wasn't posted on Dan's channel, though it's an original, for which Dan wrote the lyrics and Ricardo Confessori wrote the music. It's on Ricardo's channel, and it's wonderful. Ricardo also placed the lyrics in his Description. Every word and line is from scripture, and I would challenge you to figure out which ones, and which images the words represent, for our world today. (2) "The Number of the Beast" (yes...Iron Maiden music...extremely well done). You will find it presented quite differently than anything else in Dan's catalog. I don't know where you stand, regarding belief in God, or how you think about the book of "The Revelation of Jesus," or what you might think about that "number" in the Bible, but I would be more than willing to fill in some of that, to show exactly what Dan's aim was for singing that song, which is EXTREMELY well done. We were informed (on Dan's account on Instagram) that when the song came out, it would "melt our faces." It did! WOW! (3) "O Holy Night" I'm not going to say anything else about it, except that if you loved his "Amazing Grace," I think you will ALSO love Dan's version of "O Holy Night." I think you are already probably aware that Dan LOVES to present little surprises, and more than likely, you already know that tiny little bit of a "saucy" smile he gets, when he knows he's going to do something that the general audience does NOT expect. Yeah... (4) "My Heart Will Go On." Dan's message about THAT one (from just a few weeks back, now) was, "We'll put some hair on Celine Dion's chest. SOON." I hope you'll react to it soon. I think you will absolutely love it. I'm not requesting any of these, just letting you know about them, in case you aren't aware of them. - - - - - - - - - - Back into the reaction... Actually, Dan only plays guitar a little bit, but he can play enough to use it with his mixing software. He also plays the harmonica (from what his brother Davi says, they both have a bunch of them, given to them by their dad, over the years), and he can do keys if necessary, though (as with the guitar-playing), he mostly only uses them for inputting to his software. Mostly when he's arranging music (with which he does such a WONDERFUL job), mostly he uses MIDI. You can pick up a lot of information about Dan in the video that was produced during his nearly-three-hour 500,000 subs party, from May 28, 2021 (it's on Odysee). You can also find out a lot of things on Instagram. - - - - - - - - - - Have finished watching/listening, and I'm very impressed. I'll be back, for sure. Thank you! I'm going to check through more of your reactions to Dan's work (I've already brought them all up). I rather think I'll be joining your Patreon (I went and checked it out already, but I want to hear a few more reactions before I decide).

Agreed! I did the INKTOBER 2023 challenge, and two of my drawings are Dan-connected. The first one is the drawing of a lion roaring, for the prompt "BEAST," and it has scriptures connected. The other one is the final prompt "FIRE." For that one, I drew Dan, himself. If you'd like to see them, I have the challenge linked under my banner.

Speak for yourself, and maybe not in such a rude way. Not everyone in that "WE," feels that way. I, for one, really enjoyed Jimmy's reaction, just the way it was, and so did everyone else, here, that I've seen...except you. This is the first one I've watched & heard, but I liked it a lot, and I have all his other DAN reactions queued, just waiting for me to react to each reaction. 😀
