I have listened to dozens of reactions to this and that’s the first time I’ve heard someone say the same thing I thought-that this version makes you concentrate on the power behind the lyrics. With such an old, staple hymn it’s usually easy to skim right over them, even when you’re singing. Not this time. 👍

Dan is the man! As a PK (Preacher's Kid), I've heard and sung "Amazing Grace " thousands of times throughout my 54 years...NEVER have I EVER been so captivated by a song. I can't stop listening to it! The tears flow, and I feel the Holy Spirit move, God's love, and our Savior's sacrifice! What a God-given talent. I pray this reaches millions for the Kingdom. I feel like he sang it "for such a time as this." The world grows darker and more tumultuous by the day. People need hope... they need Jesus. This timeless song tells a powerful story about God's steadfast love, enduring mercy, and amazing grace!! I feel like all of Heaven stopped to listen! 👑✝️❤️🌎👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🐑☝🏼💪🏾⚓️🪨🏰⛰️🛡🗡📖🙏🏻🧎🏼‍♀️🙌🎶🧂🕯🩸🔥💧🕊🤟

First of all, thank you for not interrupting the video a million times. It's nice to watch a reactor's reactions happen with facial expressions and not so much talk all the way through. I could see your wheels in motion as you soaked in Dan's vocal talent. Yes, he definitely can sing the phone book and make it musical. Allow yourself to get down into the Dan Vasc rabbit hole, you will not be disappointed. He can get as metal with growls and screams as any metal singer out there, but he puts notes and pitches to those growls and screams and places them right where he wants them to be. Dan is a trained vocalist and has actually been a vocal teacher. Please discover him!!

This master Brazilian artist crafted this so skillfully that he takes us along on a journey of faith from the beginnings of belief to the assurance as we stand at the Throne of Heaven. He has worked for years to perfect that voice and his vocal toolbox seems to have no limits. He has stated he is a Christian and put this out for Easter. For Christians who want more faith stuff from the mostly secular artist, try "Adeste Fideles", "For All" "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "Hallelujah" (Handel's). For secular stuff where he covers metal songs or just gilds a song in metal try pretty much any of the 200 videos he has out there. His stuff is fire.

I agree all around. I've heard very nearly every one of his channel's posts, now (after never hearing about him before, at all, before Amazing Grace). I see the true warrior stance in his song choices. There are a few I wouldn't normally have chosen, but for the most part, even if I hadn't originally chosen to listen to Metal, I'm finding most of the songs he has chosen, to be quite subtle allusions to his faith in a very strong God who never loses. I'm right there with him on that!

Bring Me to Life, I'll Make a Man out of You Sound of Silence (better than Disturbed in my opinion more melody), . Another side of Dan is American Trilogy which was his father's favourite song which he performed just days after his father's death several years ago. He also did an amazing Elvis Presley song for a couple of elderly fans, Annie and Robert. Robert was terminally ill. Adeste Fideles and Angels on High. The most dramatic side to Dan is Gethsemane from musical Jesus Christ Superstar, where he plays Jesus and you don't have to be religious to appreciate his performance. Nana Karen aged 70 UK x

Everything Dan does is great, and any of the suggestions others have already mentioned would make terrific reaction videos. Still, if I had to pick one, I would go for his cover of Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" just for how much the video shows his sense of humor. Dan is serious about his music, but not so much about himself.

I agree with you about listening really closely to the words this time. Something about the way he sang it without embellishments, drew me in. The last part where he got really metal and loud reminded me of the phrase "Sing to the Lord with a jubilant voice." I'm pretty sure that's the spot on definition of that saying. Thanks again for not stopping the song. Great reaction.

Hi! I love your reaction. And whether you believe in God or not, "voice is the only instrument made by God." I am 62 years "young" with two sons, a "Metallica Mom", and a recovering alcoholic. "Amazing Grace" is a song revered in AA (AA is SPIRITUAL NOT RELIGIOUS) because the lyrics fit us a day at a time. For me it's 15 1/2 years now. I am also a Catholic and I live down the block from this gorgeous Church in The Bronx. My neighborhood is diverse but at least once a week we can hear bagpipes playing "Amazing Grace" in front of that Church. I think Dan''s choice to use his (sentimental) "harp" just gives THE ONLY rendition (for me) a Celtic feel. Thank you and many Blessings...

@@annelieshoornik I thought he was boring, uninterested in the song, and didn't care to elaborate. If that's him giving you an "honest reaction".... well then I guess he didn't really like the song and didn't care to show any emotion one way or the other, and really didn't even want to talk about it. Was he too busy with his schedule to give proper respects? I was just giving him constructive criticism if he wishes to gain subscribers. Boring people who barely register facial expressions or energy simply aren't going to reach a wide audience. I was bored by him. And it was crazy weird..... one of the absolute BEST performances of Amazing Grace, and this guy sat there stoic without hardly a single thing to say. People want energy and passion. People don't want to watch paint dry.

@@CelticSpiritsCoven It seems you were looking for excitement, not everybody responds the same and clearly it bothers you enough to keep goin on about it. Anyway, there are plenty other reactors that you can watch that won’t bore you but probably are too hyped for me

I wish you god botherers would stop hijacking everything and everyone that has a gift or natural ability. His voice has NOTHING to do with God/ divine inspiration / heavenly gifts. It is talent, ambition, music and voice training and a belief in his abilities.
