I love how Serena, Blair and Nate are pissed about what Dan wrote while Chuck is just sitting back watching it all escalate.

Most of what Dan wrote was true however he’s a jerk for treating his so called “friends” like that and just expecting his friends to accept and go along with all of there secrets being exposed in a book.

To be fair, he had no intention, that we know of, of publishing it. Vanessa stole the manuscript and started the process. Even if he didn't come forward as the writer, everyone and especially his friends would have had no problem unmasking the author immediately.

Everyone only read the pages that involves them, instead of reading the entire book. Dan made his own book character just as bad as everyone else . Dylan hunter was a judgemental prick, who skip’s job interviews and ends up completely alone. Serena’s character in dan’s book was based off not only her , but also Daisy from great gastby and other female characters in literature.

As much as I disliked Dan he was 100% right about Serena. She thought being offended by reality is more serious than her BFF losing her fiancé over fiction. If that's not self centered and shallow I don't know what is

I do feel sorry for Serena like why do people just assume she’s a selfish bitch? Because they like Blair more? There’s literally almost half of the show focusing on Serena and her insecurities, showing how people perceive her in a negative light and how she actually wants to be a good person but it just flew over people’s heads apparently

She gets handed on opportunities like Barbie dolls and when she can't have what she wants she makes sure noone else steals it from her. People who blatantly ridicule others aren't the worst, it's the ones who play nice with a knife in the back ready to stab you any moment.

If I was in Serena's place I would step back and ask myself what went wrong instead of putting that blame on others.

Serena is so full of herself. Blair was actually prepared to be the villain of the story and Serena got mad because he portrayed her very accurately.

@@liamcarrington7681 yeah but it's a book. If you sum up Serena from a literary point of view, she's just a pretty blonde who's rich and dates a lot. There's nothing else to add. Of course she expected more because they dated, but then it wouldn't be a book. It would be a poem or something...

Gossip Girl Season 5 is one of the weirdest seasons of TV I’ve ever watched. It’s like the writers decided to make every character as unlikeable as possible. It’s feels so bleak with none of the charm from the earlier seasons. It’s sad to see how bad the show became.

Honestly after season 3 her style goes downhill. The hair makeup clothes everything. Her style was classic and didn’t incorporate by bright colors. But the stylist completely changed Blair’s style to fit early 2010s saturation and it was HORRIBLE

Dan simply showed the truth of them for what they were.

@@qqisjdk in my opinion, the first 3 seasons were great. The 4th season was meh and the last two were absolute trash. It’s probably because the cast was contracted for 6 seasons , so everyone on the show was kind of over it at that point and wanted to do other projects.
