That’s what stood out to me the most. Me and my bro are from Memphis and I would hear him watching it and think “where is this located” just because I could hear the distinct dialect. Once I learned the setting was Cali I thought all of those guys were from there lol never would have guessed one of the mfers was from outside the Country 🤣

TroubleChizzy2010 You are right! It’s transformed. Transition in English ( British) isn’t a verb but a noun for the process of transforming! American version is different but well understood and accepted anyway! It seems silly whenever an American tries to correct the standard English( UK) version! You will be surprised when the noun ( loan) is used as a verb in US!( very confusing to the British). Lend is practically unknown and borrow is scarcely used in US.

Man. Crazy how WC was his dialect coach. Even crazier how believable his character is in Snowfall. WC is an OG and Snowfall one of the best shows out. Been a fan since first episode.

A reason for this is due to the British class system. Many successful actors in the UK are from a privileged background who had the right connections and networks to land big roles. Those from a lower class are at a disadvantage so they find it easier to get the acclaimed, juicy roles in the US since class is irrelevant here.

I just started watching this show and I saw the beginning on hulu , no regrets. Snowfall is EXCELLENT
