I completely disagree. There's an easy way to make that tackle. Just touch the fucking guy. He's making a dive and he's going to the ground. DB dropped his shoulder and led with his head. That was the point of the helmet to helmet debaucle we were going through a couple years ago. They're trying to relax calls on that rule but it's there for a reason.

Brady made a good point in his interview with SAS when he said "I didn’t throw the ball to certain areas because I was afraid players were going to get knocked out." This needs to be emphasized as much as defensive players aiming for the strike zone is emphasized. This was entirely on Minshew and entirely avoidable.

I agree 100%. Qb’s, OCs have to have some responsibility. To this day I blame Eli Manning for Odell Beckham’s career injury woes. I also think it was Brady who told his receivers to either just go down after a catch or run out of bounds. No need to fight for an extra yard if it’s gonna mean you won’t be playing next week.

Because the hit wasn't that bad. The receiver got hit in the face mask with the defenders shoulder. Penalty is one thing but an ejection is criminal. It wasn't intentional. The nfl has become so soft.

Unfortunate situation. Hospital pass that even the announcers said you could see coming a mile away. The other angle showed it wasn't even helmet to helmet. Kazee committed to a low hit as Pittman left his feet, Minshew left him out there to dry, and gravity did the rest. Hope Pittman is okay, but Minshew owes him an apology for that pass.

Actually, back in the day the QB would not throw that or the WR would run the route in a safer manner. These days you CAN do this because 99 out of 100 times the defender respects the rules and when they don’t they get ejected and fined on top of a penalty, when this used to be a legal hit.

This is what Tom Brady was talking about when he said there’s mediocrity in the NFL. Minshew put Pittman in danger with that throw. He did the same thing with Downs in the first quarter, causing him to take a huge hit. You gotta protect your players.

Defenses are getting routinely penalized for badly thrown footballs. Personal foul because of a hospital pass or a pass interference because he underthrew him 5 yards.

Hope he’s ok long and short term. Sport is great but is not the most important.

Hospital pass. That should be a flag on the QB. Bad offense leads to a penalty on the defense. Not fair at all.

There’s a difference between hitting with your shoulder and a flat out head to head hit on a guy diving for a ball about to hit the ground, the Steelers were burnt on that play, bad coverage, no need to give a guy brain injuries

I hope the receiver is alright, but that's a clean hit. The guy literally dropped his shoulder to a foot or two off the ground and turned his body to hit with his shoulder. What else do you want him to do?

It looks to me like the ball was headed straight to Kazee and he was going for the ball too. When he realized that there was going to be a collision, he went into a self-protection mode. I thought that the rule was that both had equal opportunity to the ball. The penalty, ejection, and suspension are all pigmentation based.

Wasn't a dirty play. It was a good hit. The receiver should protect himself.

​@@johnre5342A penalty isn't a good hit lol. You can disagree with the rules all you want, but it's in the rule book. You can't hit a defenseless receiver in the head. Even if it's your shoulder, it's a penalty. Can't protect yourself when your in midair reaching for a ball. DB getting a nice fine to go along with his ejection.

@@dernifythe rules are different now. I don't think it should be a penalty but given the way they changed the rules it is a penalty. But even if I can accept its a penalty for hitting the receiver in the head it definitely wasn't intentional or should it have warranted an ejection. The ref was dead wrong. The defender was trying to make a play on the ball and the receiver was falling low to the ground. The defender can not change his direction at full speed.

@johnre5342 He wasn't playing the ball, though. His face mask is pointed at the ground during impact, and his arms are tucked under his chest. If he was playing the ball, his face mask would've been pointed at the ball, and his arms outstretched for the ball. He loaded up for the hit, and that's why at least 3 refs threw flags on that play. Kazee has a reputation for that kind of stuff, so he got suspended, too.

@@dernify he wasn't playing the ball. He was looking to give the receiver a shot in the mid section as he caught the ball. The defender started to launch himself to hit the defender not knowing that the ball would be thrown high and the receiver stretched out to catch it and they collided.

Is everything ok with Highlight Heaven?? This is my go-to for sports plays and noticed he hasn't posted anything for a couple weeks.... hope everything is ok!!!

30 years ago guys took those hits and now because his brain is brain is like an egg (scrambled or fried)....he sued cause owners knew his brain would be mush and said nothing. Why, because we love the big hits.

​@@bolts3catchum, yes he did. We all did. There's literally hardest hit videos about them. The difference is that before it was just football being played. Of course players got ejected when it was intentionally malicious but now it's an ejection even if it's not helmet-to-helmet

⁠@@bolts3catchI’ll beg to differ with you! …… I grew-up playing the game and hits like this happened when receivers crossed the middle almost in every game and sometimes you’d see 4-5 good plays in a day! We was taught to lead with our face mask. FYI QBs was open game and would take shots like this I in every game!…. Football was a man’s sport and nothing like the games we watch now days!

How did they expect him to tackle him? Go for the legs and sit him on his head? The sport doesn’t even make sense at this point.
