I’m not a Browns fan (Cowboys) but I’m REALLY excited about your team and good for this kid, pulling for you young man! I’ll be watching.

There are so many lessons to be learned from this guy's story. Lessons about hard work. Selflessness. Commitment. Determination. Passion. But one thing that just occurred to me is that he's a perfect example of why parents need to stop forcing their kids to specialize in sports at an early age. I see this all the time where parents put pressure on a 8 or 10 year old kid, forcing him or her to play travel ball year-round, go to every available camp, hire private tutors, etc.... all to "ensure" their kid has a shot at making it professionally. Meanwhile, JSG shows us all that a kid with natural athleticism, determination and a strong work ethic can pick up a sport in college and still grind his way to playing on Sundays. Bottom line: Encourage your kids to be well-rounded.Stop forcing them into boxes or telling them what they can't do. Instead, inspire them to dream big and work hard.
