Damon constantly threatened the people she “loved” yet she came running back to him, Damon has threatened her bother and KILLED her brother several times and she went running back to him Damon also killed one of her so called “Bestfriend” and they’re still together, they were such a cute couple but it was toxic and as Elena said “Damon makes me do crazy things” very toxic. Let’s not forget how manipulative Damon was towards Elena

Elena best friend Bonnie is Damon's best friend, Elena's guardian Ric is best friend of Damon. Her brother Jeremy has best bonding with him than any other male in tvd. Her ex boyfriend or best friend Stefan will do anything for him. Matt ,Tyler and in later seasons even Caroline has great relation with him. If they don't have any problems, then why should Elena.

He loved Elena either way if she was a vampire or human. She fell in love with Damon twice knowing all the bad stuff he did. They were honest with each other. They would always find their way back to each other. He gave her a love that consumed her, he gave her passion, and even an adventure. He challenged Elena. I mean sure stelena was cute and all but it was high school love. Damon was the love of their life. If her love of her life was Stefan she would’ve never fell for Damon.

Yeah… I feel like during season 3 while she was starting to have feelings for Damon she still had some unfinished business with Stefan. I didn’t think I was gonna be a fan of delena but the way the show was going I felt like they really did fit better. They brought out the best in each other.
