And don’t forget the well position cameras above selfserve checkouts - so if you have to enter a pin number from your card to make a purchase, it’s probably on cctv!

I felt like crying today I had to go to the food bank and there was ques out the door for people trying to get basic supplies

At least the media and other organization are doing more to help on the cost of living than our government.

And so? What does the report do? Force them to lower prices? Then they lower prices and fire staff to cut costs?

Big business always screws over the bottom line in pursuit of profits. From airlines to supermarkets, to utility companies and media corporations. Australia needs to focus on monopolies, otherwise democracy and competition will always be dead.

And a big thank you to our farmers they have always been shagged by banks governments and retail giants most people have not a clue how hard they work to feed Australia and the world I am disgusted in how they are treated it's not the Aussie way the same as our returned soldiers were treated sickening

The law should be chained they've gotten away with this for to long

How is this a surprise, we all know this has been happening.

Nothing about leaving incorrect prices on food meaning people think it's a lot of cheaper, I got banned from my local Woolworths for trying to tell people about this

Nothing will change.

They all rip off innocents together ,people suffer more than ever before !

The supermarkets will only change if they end up with a bigger problem.

Just look at how AGL hiked the electricity price ..... Within 4 months, the rate has tripled! Look at how much the feed-in tariff if compared to the electricity usage rate !!!

And what can we do, the big business is buying the competition up.

Hgh Fees on your supper funds to sends you a statement & that's all they do . They already make a profit from investing your money held in accounts

This has been happening for a long time, especially under the Liberal Party with their arrangement with big business.

This and previous governments. Look at the private health insurers, under coalition every increase on consumers, requested each year was granted. Why? Because they pay the liberal politicians and lobby/fund elections. Crazy non democratic world we live in. America F yeah

We need to empower the public

this is monopoly capitalism doing what its always going to do - extract as much wealth from the public as it can get away with and then say its due to the pandemic, or the war in ukraine, or inflation and the public are utterly powerless government regulation with teeth is what is needed against the inhuman greed of big businesses - - and it is these businesses who are causing the inflation, yet as usual the RBA will ignore them and just put futher pressure in the public to pay the bill

Yep not to mention all the government hand outs like job keeper. So many big businesses happily took job keeper but later reported record breaking profits and didn’t pay back what the government gave them. The country is stuffed, the world is stuffed, people’s morals are stuffed.

After all, how cannyou expect any long-term, meaningful change when one Party is lucky to get even 1-2 term's in Government most of the time?
