In front of other people, they were such a lovely and romantic couple and the man pretends to be a perfect boyfriend material but behind the scenes, he is very indifferent and hurts her a lot. But the girl longs to be loved so she can’t control herself and stop herself from loving him even though she knows well that this is a toxic relationship. In the end everything comes out and people only see her as a crazy person doing a solo performance for being so absorbed in her role, even the man just stood indifferently clapping his hands while watching her struggle and expose herself under the scrutiny of people. Besides the love story, due to the fact that Taeyeon is the person who has written the lyrics for this song, I think it’s reflects exactly her real life and what she has been struggling and coming over so far. In the stage she is a happy and dreamy girl, however behind the scenes she has so many sorrows and pains and a broken soul. When the love story was exposed, the media only focused on questioning and excavating the injured girl without paying any attention to the man. This reflects not only Taeyeon's true story but also the general situation of Kbiz where the criticism is only directed at the women. And at last when Taeyeon is honest with herself and shows everyone her true person filled with pains, anger and depression, they still just think she's acting and throw roses at her, which represents that public speech can be a double-edged sword, they say it’s good for her but actually the thorns of the roses only leave her with scratches. But in the end she still smiles, maybe it shows that she has been stronger enough to face the public. And for a darker meaning I think the bad guy has been killed because in the first scene she was washing off blood lmao.

Can't Control Myself I feel like is a song about a toxic relationship. He's very abusive and doesn't care about her, but she still loves him despite that. The relationship looks good from the eyes of other people, but in reality, or in this case, off-stage, it's very much toxic. The acting at the end where she went crazy probably appeared to the audience as a plot twist to the drama but in reality, that's what she has been feeling in the relationship all along. And she was bleeding at the end from all of the thorns from the roses that the audience gave her which is a representation that being famous comes with roses AND thorns. You get praises and applause, but you also get pain and suffering.
