What I loved about this, was the fact that this tribute video didn't have a single basketball highlight and it still truly showed just how valuable Dame was to this team and franchise.

@@samuelacosta4291 eh id be with you if Dame gave em a list of more than a single team. the org also has a trade to make, giving them one choice was a bit of an unrealistic ask, especially considering the bucks package was better. everyone agrees the bucks package was better except for Miami fans lol
at least blazers fans understand that this man really tried to make it work for their franchise but the owners weren't chasing no chip.

That was emotional 🥲 and special for that man.
He really gave all he could, It was just his time to move on. Its great to see that he still has Rip city in his heart. This guy will always be home in Portland, you're welcome any time Dame
From Oakland to Portland. Dame has done so much on and off the court. I know plenty of people don't think he deserved TOP 75. But it's so much more than ball, he is the embodiment of what it means to be a baller.

I love how the thumbnail for this video makes it look like he was crying, but he's really just wiping sweat off his brow. That being said, Portland a truly classy city. Those were the correct things to show how a man impacted your city in positive ways; plenty of hoopers can have amazing moments, but the way he touched the lives in that place is gonna have ripple effects that last for a long, long time.

IMO that’s what being a top professional athlete is about. Ofc we want our favorite players/teams to win, but when you’re able to touch peoples lives in the community, nothing really beats that. In this day and age where players are all about themselves, it’s refreshing to see a star like Dame.
How can you not love Dame
Blazers legend, Damian Lillard
Beautiful tribute.. some things are bigger than basketball and I love how they didn't show his basketball highlights but his impact on the ppl
that made me tear up. love the tribute vid of all off the court stuff he did ...being someone off the court
Dame is an awesome basketball player and an even awesome human being. You can criticize him for his play (based on society’s own lofty standards) but you can’t say anything about the person that he is. He has done more for Portland than any other player that came to play there.
@_WeDontKnow_

he's great but people can absolutely criticize the way he moved. you dont ask for a trade and give your org a list of 1 team, then say you won't play for any other team lmao. that's unrealistic and disrespectful to the org, they have a trade to make too
@TheRealCowlick

@@_WeDontKnow_To be honest, I would agree, if the org itself didn’t treat him like they did for many consecutive seasons before that
Dame was, is, and always will be the heart and soul of Rip City.
Dame is a class act
Thanks for posting this. From the lousy ESPN broadcast you never would have known they showed this at all.
This was one of the best tributes ever.
We thank you for the time you had in Portland Dame!!!❤💯✊🏿
I lived in Oregon up until Dame left (ironically) the amount of impact he had on not just basketball, but the city itself was amazing. He's such an amazing guy and I'm glad we were able to have him in Portland. Thank you Dame 👍🏼. That's the reason you're my favorite basketball player on and off the court. Now you're with the Bucks playing with my 2nd favorite player. And once again, thank you for all the lives you changed in Oregon.
Look at his face he did that from the heart you can tell the world sho need more people that
THANK YOU DAME LILLARD TRAILBLAZER 4EVER 🖤❤️

Salute bruh! Much respect💯
He is such a great player. He'll he loved in Portland forever
late in the game and the blazers fans are cheering on the blazers and cheering like crazy when dame got that crazy dunk in the 4th 🥲
Dame’s humility and professionalism set him apart. Any franchise would be lucky to have a guy like him representing them.
I LOVE HUMBLE SUPERSTARS... he couldn't even watch cuz he didn't even want to be in the spotlight...

Amazing video ❤
Love you forever dame!
There are lots of achievements you can bag from just being a good person in the NBA. It’s not just about talent. I am not a fan of Portland, but the love I have for Dame is really deep. I hope the likes of Ja Morant, Draymond Green can learn from this!
Dame🥺🥺🥺

Dame ❤
Dame's impact wasn't just on the court... it was probably felt more so in the community. And it still is... he hasn't left this community.
This man is a class act...Oakland native!
Stafford got nothing but boos in his return to Detroit. Nice to see people actually appreciate a great player when they had one. Even if hes currently in another jersey. His impact is still there. Stafford got disrespected and the entire purpose of that game was to see him light it up in Detroit, which he did, but he should've received a standing ovation at least after losing. Instead of still getting boo'd out the stadium. This right here is how you handle a return of a player that impacted your team.
Give people they flowers now not till they are gone
Peace and blessings to the Portland Trailblazers organization for putting this together 🤍
The realest in the NBA. Deserves everything he has or continues to get. His jersey will be retired in Portland no doubt.
Deeper than basketball 😢
This clip reminds me of the interview where Dame figured out that CJ got traded and it was the end of an era for him. The appreciation to the players shown in the video shares how the players could mean so much more than just basketball for the fans
This was smart. Remind the fans in that stadium that this man cared for that city.
didn't realize dame was such a good role model
The thumbnail tho yall sneaky for that 😂

“ WEEEEEAARING THE LETTER O”…😢😅😅
Good man , did it the right way 👏 Earned his respect and opportunity to get a chip with another club

only star u cant get mad at for wanting to be traded.

Oakland mentality is to be loyal. Dame is an incredible representation of hardwork, character, and respect
What a great role model
if im a trailblazers fan too, i would've been loving lillard so much. dude stayed for so long wanting to win in the city but the front office sucks 😂
Couldn't even get up like a gentleman to wave to the crowd..
No standing ovation or did the clip not include it?
Unlike LeBron, MJ and Kobe that wanted the spotlight, dame is the opposite, the spotlight wants him! That's when you know you're on a different level! RESPECT!

I'm not crying. You're crying.
from what i've seen the tribute could've been better executed. but isn't that just a microcosm of his time in portland? he means everything to that city and i'm proud to say i went to his first game and been a die hard dame fan ever since. rip city lillard forevrr
with this thumbnail.... 1. i thought he was crying 2. i thought that was also Damian lillard to the right of him lol
What did his dad say? Why was that part cut off?
Any one else think Dame was on the right in the thumbnail? I saw two Dames!
I can see Lillard coming back to play for Portland when his career wraps up. Be a veteran mentor for the young players coming into the league. He'll get his jersey retired by them.
Let go dame time get that elusive central diviaion championship
