That's why she's Dame Judi Dench!!
Wow that was amazing! Soul touching!
So beautifully done. Not at all "acted" but just an outpouring of thought, as though she was just reflecting on things and creating the sonnet herself. No "acting" at all. It also struck me how the silliness/goofiness in the room just totally calmed down and, for once, it seemed like people grew reflective and genuinely moved.
Judi is one of the all-time greats. No question.
Judy is a boss queen 👸🏼
Denchs educstion: Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Yep. She has Shakespeare on the tip of her tongue.
Sublime and Arnold swartzenager was very funny and self deprecating at the end. 😊
If more people could deliver Shakespeare like this more people would love it. I’ve watched this so many times
Wow Judi you are fabulous!
now that is an actor…. what a beauty
When, in disgrace with fortune and men’s eyes, I all alone beweep my outcast state, And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries, And look upon myself and curse my fate, Wishing me like to one more rich in hope, Featured like him, like him with friends possessed, Desiring this man’s art and that man’s scope, With what I most enjoy contented least; Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising, Haply I think on thee, and then my state, (Like to the lark at break of day arising From sullen earth) sings hymns at heaven’s gate; For thy sweet love remembered such wealth brings That then I scorn to change my state with kings.
Great 😊
wat more words can one say
I hear she is old school. 🙀😒 Arnold replied… I’ll be back and to hell with your freedoms…
