Ok, when I saw the title say "Dinosaur Skin" I didn't know what to expect. But holy cow I was not expecting it to look THAT much like actual scales. Absolutely stunning, a true work of art.

One thing I've always been impressed by is how well you set the forge welds and your processes. Your knowledge and awareness of when to handle the metal is incredible. IMO even other blade forging blacksmiths don't have the touch/knowing that you do. They do not see what you are able to see when working the metal. Maybe a handful of other blade smiths do.

As someone who really enjoys watching the show, I feel like you may have gone into it with the wrong mindset? (again, only my opinion) My take on the show was: it's *_not_* intended to be an "exhibit for the well-established" with massive amounts of experience and are *true* masters at blacksmithing; _but instead_ a show which that's a combination of: finding the "diamonds in the rough" by giving anyone that's willing, *regardless of experience* (within reason; *some* is required), a shot at getting their name out there - yes, arguably an "exhibit of their potential", I admit - AND am enjoyable challenge for those who perhaps _have_ been at it awhile. After all, if they were solely to have people with *_this man's_* skill level, it'd have been tough to make it to Season 3! Not only because of the fact there are not that many people who would meet that criteria, many of them would live outside the US which complicates matters _(I don't think there's even been Canadian contestants, due to filming reasons and airfare)._ But also because (I figure) these talented folk are likely to either be burdened by backlogged work, or _might_ even feel this is beneath them in general. Either way, I suspect that the $10k prize _(before taxes!)_ just wouldn't be enticing enough compared to what they'd earn by spending that same time working instead... Some of the new people to forging (ie:

This one and your twisted bicycle tire wire pattern are my favorites. The riverbank flowers pattern is amazing as well for the work involved. I wanted to see how the Easter Egg pattern would have looked as a knife.
