@@paralysisbyanalysis yes like he is saying it is a yearly thing. We have been hit by tons of hurricanes and the same thing but worse happened. In hurricane Ike almost every tree in downtown was down and every window was busted. These huge supercell storms come around twice a year.

We were spared in Humble but I was worried there for a minute. It didn't help that it hit pretty much at rush hour. Scary stuff, even for a native Texan.

I was in downtown just before it started looking like 9 o clock with daylight still out. I work in downtown, I live in Humble. I take downtown to escape the I10 traffic. The sky darkened, I finally got on 59 from Chenevert st. That’s when all hell broke loose. Luckily my car was heavy. I could barely see out the windshield though. Everybody was driving 20 miles an hour on 59 with hazards on trying to get home to their families. The sky turned different colors as well from power lines being struck. That was wild, that storm goes on my list. I was a little scared but stayed calm. As for the four people in Houston that passed. Prayers to you and your families. May god rest peacefully within you.
