Dally kimoko is legendary here in Kenya, I think he even knows it and paid tribute. Soukous was HUGE in Kenya in the 80s and early nineties and this tune has great childhood memories. It never grows old.

Quite surprising he is not aware how famous he is in Uganda. This song was playing all over the place in Uganda in the 90s. It was an anthem. I'm sure this was the same case across Africa. It's only that most African countries were going through a lot of struggles at the time. They just couldn't afford hiring Kanda Bongo man unlike Kenya.

Dally Kimoko and Nene Tsakou’s skills were unparalleled. These were guitar ‘gods’.

@@ShaddyRaddyMusic no dally played Coupe Bibamba and Fifi . I got the cd and credits to prove that especially when it first came out in 98'. Besides it doesn't even sound like Japonais on that song anyway. Get the cd, look it up and come back let me know what you find

I think they are too busy to be teaching some random people guitar.. Just get the tutorials and move on. I guess if you can pay them very well they wouldn't mind though
