Join us on our exciting journey as we explore Dallas, Texas, on our USA road trip. In this vlog, we kick off our adventure with a road trip from Roswell, where we had a quick stop to explore the alien-themed town, to Dallas. We check into the Sheraton Dallas and give you a tour of our luxurious room with a stunning view of the city's skyline
.
We then head out to explore the Deep Ellum neighborhood, known for its vibrant artistic scene, quirky galleries, and a variety of eateries and brew pubs. We play a game of giant Jenga at a local tap room, try out pretzel bites with beer cheese at West Lake Brewing, and visit Terry Black's Barbecue, a popular spot in Texas known for its smoked meats
.
We also get a behind-the-scenes look at the smoking process at Terry Black's Barbecue, where we learn about the 13-hour smoking process for their brisket. We then enjoy a hearty meal of brisket, turkey, coleslaw, and mac and cheese, among other delicious dishes
.
The next day, we plan to visit Southport Ranch, explore more sites in Dallas including Dealey Plaza where Kennedy was shot, and visit the Reunion Tower and Clyde Warren Park. We also plan to go on a nature trail and visit a farm

Bars, restaurants , hemp, BBQ and Leigh is looking for coffee and a nice cake. Hard to find. Cafes like there are in the UK are sadly lacking. Always white bread with Texas BBQ and everything is bigger in Texas. I loved how you started singing the Dallas theme - it was a big part of our TV viewing

I like Dallas,TX ...the LoneStar State. I was based there a few years when I was a crew member for American Airlines. Dallas is AA Headquarters.

Welcome to Texas y’all! Much ❤ from Houston TX! Gas is so cheap here due to oil and gas being one of the biggest money makers since there’s so many off shore drillers off the coast of TX. Personally I think Austin / Houston has way more to do than Dallas. You should check it out if you ever have the chance. Safe travels!
ive got the treager 575 pro the best thing about electric pellet smokers is it will adjust the temperature its self with offset smoker like they were using its very hard to control the temperature hope this helps
I just stayed at Tru in the Salt Lake City area in Utah...loved it ! This series is so much fun.... thanks again and be well !

As a kid, Saturday nights were our nights, as a young family, to sit and watch Dallas, with Coca Cola and crisps as a treat. Have a ball at Southfork. As ever, I just get such joy watching you enjoy life, that's what it's all about.

I’ve been to Dallas a couple of times and liked it, though Austin is still my favorite Texas city. And I was amused when you pointed out Hattie B’s, which is a Nashville-based company that has one of its restaurants not far from me. Unfortunately, I don’t really care for hot chicken (I prefer regular fried chicken), but it’s interesting to know that there is one in Dallas. That BBQ restaurant did look impressive with all those smokers.

Loving the trip so far. When comparing prices of petrol, in addition to exchange rate and converting gallons to litres, don't forget US gallons are smaller than UK gallons.
Brought back memories of our trip to Dallas in 2016 to see WrestleMania 32 at the AT&T Stadium 😃

One of the reasons why petrol is so expensive in CA is because the state of CA levies so many additional taxes on gasoline. Believe it or not, the state just approved a rebate to registered drivers in CA to make up for our high prices on gas and due to the recession. Do you know how they funded it? Not with any surplus or money already in the budget. They just increased our gas taxes to pay for it. 🤪
