Shoot some video on the east side of Dallas and I will! There's some really nice stuff on the east side. Up Ross avenue, Gaston, and of course Swiss avenue. Deep Ellum, Fair Park, all kinds of nice stuff, but these drone videos all seem to be obsessed with Reunion Tower and the bridges.

I love Dallas

It would be amazing if they turned the Trinity Basin into an actual park. Long overdue.

The city of Dallas has talked about doing that for over 50 years; personally, I think you have a better chance of seeing an actual unicorn being ridden by an actual hobbit before you’ll see the Trinity properly developed. It’s shame too because they could so much with it to improve downtown Dallas; unfortunately Dallas does not have enough foresight and progressive thinking to make that happen. Imagine the Texas Rangers’ new ball park, Globe Life Field, or AT&T stadium sitting there instead of a swamp and what that would do for the city. Instead, the city of Dallas would rather let Arlington reap those benefits. Fun fact, the trinity forest is the world’s largest urban forest.

@@mcuthor7831why would the rangers have a stadium in Dallas? They are based and from Arlington/Fort Worth (Tarrant county)

The city would look so much nicer if the Trinity River was a lot larger.

The Trinity River actually used to flow right through where Dealey Plaza is now, until the city planners rerouted it almost a hundred years ago due to a serious flooding issue that put downtown Dallas ( such as it was back then) under water. As I understand it the Trinity was deeper and wider than it is now

For a city of this size downtown doesn't really look like anything. Austin will one day pass Dallas with the better downtown and that's if they haven't already.

The entire Skyline would look even more spectacular if the original plans were followed through for the twin tower for Bank of America. Also, if Uptown had taller buildings.

Absolutely. I don't understand why a city of Dallas' size hasn't added more taller buildings downtown or uptown or even a 1K-footer?? Many planned towers they say were in the planning stages just a few years ago are hardly even started construction at all. I don't get it. Smh.
