I really liked Rebecca Wentworth she she really cared for children. Especially Pam and Cliff. She was a real help to Cliff during his time of need. He was really devastated by her death.

Seriously? She literally abandoned Cliff and Pam (Pam was still a baby), left them with an abusive drunk and made NO effort to reach out. Pam tracked her down 30 years later, only to have Rebecca rebuff her as she didn’t want her conveniently uber-rich husband to know she had previously had/abandoned two children. Sure, Rebecca left Pam and Cliff a fortune (all Herbert Wentworth’s money), but that was out of guilt. Cliff gleefully played along and accepted all the monetary efforts to buy back his love. Pam simply acted like she was hot sh*t when she conveniently has a Ewing level fortune handed to her just two years after finding her “loving” mother. 😅

    1. Houston not Dallas, is really the oil capital in Texas. 2. Great foreshadowing as Pam will end up living in that house, which I always thought was a beautiful estate. 3. Man, this shows why I was so upset that Rebecca was killed off! She should've become a regular. She was the only person who truly had Cliff's back. He deserved to have at least one person that supported him unconditionally, hell everyone else on the show had someone in their corner. Yeah she fired him even though he did everything he could to pay the money back to the company, and it hurt him. But Rebecca felt bad and probably would've went to him to forgive him before his suicide attempt if not for Pam tell her to stay mad at Cliff.

Well, Rebecca implied it was the board of Wentworth Industries that demanded his termination. This was odd as Wentworth Tool & Dye was a wholly owned subsidiary (owned entirely by Rebecca) of the parent company Wentworth Industries. When Rebecca buys Wade Luce’s oil company for Cliff, the agreement says it is Wentworth Industries that is buying the company. Yet, Rebecca’s will leaves the company entirely to Cliff. There’s an inconsistency there, as her will reiterates Wentworth Industries status as a publicly held company, governed by a board, and not subject to the whims of Rebecca or anyone else. Rebecca inherited an enormous amount of stock from her husband, which gave her a seat on the board and considerable influence. Half of that stock ends up in Pam’s control, and she seemed to somehow have more influence than her mother. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I sympathize with her being only 17 but she had "strength" enough to cheat on Digger, not tell anyone that Pam wasn't his, then move on down to Houston and marry a billionaire and forget she had two kids in Dallas.
