@@TheloniousJackson I agree. Lucy was worthless years before her original departure. She was supposed to go over to Knots Landing but Joan Van Ark threw a fit and blocked it. That’s why we never saw her again after that one lone appearance in Season 01.

Dang boy. Mitch comes back & still make things difficult on Lucy. What the heck was wrong with him? Was he nuts? He try too much to change Lucy into something that she just isn't & I don't think is fair at all. He needed to leave Lucy alone for that matter.

Mitch was gorgeous.

Old school doctors still round on their patients when in the hospital but more and more now when you go to the hospital they have a doctor that works for the hospital to see you

This is a funny role reversal. During their first marriage, Mitch was always upset that Lucy worked 16 hour days as a model. During their second marriage, it was Lucy who was upset that Mitch was gone all of the time being a doctor.

Lucy was a great actor, a real Ewing

In Season 12 a lot of former characters came back briefly: Ray, Pam, Afton, Mitch plus flashbacks when Sue Ellen did that movie, so we got a lot of mentions of the early ears which was nice. Lucy was underused but liked her relationship with Cally in later years.

Well from the looks of things, many people were not crazy about Mitch and Lucy's relationship. But the way I see it, Lucy was wrong to try to force Mitch to choose between her, and his job. You can't make a man do that ANYWAY. You do, and you will lose every time.

NM1Raider yep. I thought Mitch was a great looking guy, but he always tried to control Lucy. He knew she was rich and did her own thing before he married her. He tried to make her feel guilty because she came from a wealthy family. They should have never gotten married until they figured that out. He shouldn’t have expected her to give up her lifestyle or job. Poor Lucy figured out too late they couldn’t make marriage work. Cliff and Afton couldn’t work things out and I think she left him before they ever married. Some people are too opposite to be together. Especially when they think they can change each other.

During their first marriage, Mitch did the same thing to Lucy. He tried to make her choose between her modeling career and him.

I like Lucy she is full of life and spirit and that sneaky smirks she gives J.R. when she snaps at him cause at times she can see through him when other's don't. But, it's ironic that Mitch asking the same thing that Lucy asked before now he wants Lucy to understand his job and support it, but when Lucy was working he wanted Lucy to stop modeling. Such a hypocrite. The writers could have given Lucy a good love story or start her own company, but somehow I could see she could have been a bad character you hate to love and root for with the right storyline.

What was that? A quarter cup of coffee? Mitch looks like a young Michael Douglas.

On Dallas, J.R. didn't do much fighting. But in real life, I think Larry Hagman(J.R.)would have won in a fight with Leigh McCloskey(Mitch). Hagman served in the Air Force, so he had to be in very good physical shape.

Oh yes! He was beautiful

I will say she improved as an actor...

Lucy and Mitch were great together too bad they didn't last

If I was Mitch, first of all, it would have never come to an ultimatum; I wouldn't have cared if there was 12 ambulance's sitting outside Southfork, because against Miss Ellie's wishes, there would have been a TON of "drilling" going on at Southfork !!!!!!

The maid should have referred to Mitch as “Doctor Mitch.”

When I watched DALLAS as a child I wished Lucy was my sister. I had the same haircolor. Mitch was a Cutie. I saw him later in Santa Barbara. - Better haircut in this time.

She just aged, period. She must be in her 60s for crying out loud. Aging is always horrible when compared to your young self.

There's so much wrong with this story line. What makes a wife leave a "doctor" (of all things) to live in her grandma's house? That includes all of them by the way. . . 'And if Mutch, I mean Mitch, ever actually "loved" Lucy, then I personally designed and tailored JR's cowboy hats.

Because that doctor was always putting Lucy down. He talked down about her being a rich girl, criticized how she spent her/her family's money (which she was free to spend), and even put down her modeling career (which Mitch admitted his distaste for it because it paid her much more than what he could make all week). The Ewings were ruthless family, but Mitch acted like the real snob. In his interactions with Lucy and the Ewings, Mitch always had this issue with about feeling like he couldn't quite measure. Lucy and Mickey was a better couple, since Mickey was comfortable enough with himself to love Lucy just the way she was. MItch had a hard time doing that for Lucy.

This scene impresses me as Lucy is not glammed-up here. Usually in TV dramas, it is unintentionally amusing to see women arising from bed with fully made-up facial makeup. In Lucy's case here, the facial makeup seems lacking; along with her hair being limp.

Although I've never thought of Lucy as a good actress,This is the prettiest I've ever seen Lucy WITHOUT all that God awful makeup.

msmithstud seriously this show could have been better without Lucy. She was extremely annoying, whiny and tried to hard. Mitch acted like a itch (Insert a B here) and knew damn well he didn't mind "The Ewing Money". Lucy definitely aged here.

Agreed. Bringing Mitch back was even more useless. He was in a total of two irrelevant scenes before disappearing forever. Why was Lucy brought back? Nobody cared about her when she was on the show before. I guess they had to bring one of the original characters back as they had removed Ray, Pam, Jenna and would soon be losing Sue Ellen. Funny thing is, they once again had to eliminate Lucy from the show for the same reason - there was nothing for her to do. Writers couldn't come up with anything interesting for Lucy before and her second go-round was even less eventful.
