Agreed. Jenna’s clothes screams 80s dated look. But not Pam. Pam’s dress, accessories and hairstyle are timeless and she looks besutiful.

Jenna is such a hypocrite. She gave up rights to Bobby when she left him to go to Italy with her new man years ago. Then she comes back when he’s married to Pam and doesn’t hide the fact that she wants to steal him away from Pam. Jenna just needs to shut up.

Pam should have kept walking into the hospital to find Bobby. The person who always complicated his life was jenna, who always wants what she doesn't have at the moment.

I loved the 1984 - 85 season it was so action packed. So many hate it because Miss Ellie was played by Donna Reed however that was no reason to dislike it as everyone else carried it.

Agreed the 84-85 season was the last good season of Dallas. After that the show tanked when they killed Bobby off. 85-86 was ok but it was missing the good brother vs the evil brother rivalry,

By this time, Victoria Principal’s acting had considerably improved. She was green in the early seasons, but gave compelling performances later on (which she never really got credit for).

It was pretty strange when Pam had that accident and left. The real Pam would not have left Christopher and Bobby without saying goodbye just because of the way she looked after being burnt. That's why people stop watching Dallas. The story started to make no sense.

flavius honorius emperor of rome 395-423: Better chemistry with Priscilla than Victoria ? No way. Only in your view. The writers didn't screw up at all. They got it right, and that's why people loved them on the show. The vast vast vast majority of Dallas fans felt Pam & Bobby were soulmates, and always wanted them back together. It's not even close as far as Jenna goes. Like I wrote before, Bobby "loved" Jenna, but he was "in love" with Pam. There is a big difference between those two things. That's why Bobby ultimately choice Pam over Jenna. Even Jenna knew that. She knew she only would have a sliver of Bobby's heart, not the whole heart like Pam had. Yeah, Jenna was his first "love", but it was based off of a teenage crush, not the most mature love really. Bobby only got back with Jenna because he and Pam had hit the rocks for awhile...etc. If you've ever watched the off-screen interviews with Patrick and Victoria, you'd see that they were known to have amazing closeness and chemistry even off-screen too. They even said themselves it felt that way too them ( without being romantic or intimate with each other that is..).

Pradeep Balakrishnan: Victoria was already gone from the show though and she wasn't coming back to do any new scenes, so how do you show Pam saying goodbye after being burnt unless you recast the role ? They should have just let Pam die in the car crash and left it at that. That's as true to life as it gets. People are killed in car wrecks every hour of every day. They just made the mistake of trying to string out a storyline..... Same way they did with Jock's death and have the fake Jock come along...etc.

When I scroll down through the comments and just hear the audio of Pam and Jenna, it has all the sincerity to it as if they were doing a script read-through for the first time; it sounds so *staged* and _stilted._

I don't know which is more interesting. Watching these videos or reading these comments about the video. It's almost the same thing as reading the book first (the comments) then watch the movie (Dallas).

I never could stomach the shitty way Bobby treated Jenna and especially her daughter Charlie when he went back to Pam. Look I get it you had something special with somebody and love can die hard when they leave you but when you find somebody new who loves you and is committed to you AND on top of that has a child that thinks of you like a father you DON'T abandon them for a woman who bailed on you when things got complicated and hard. Jenna's argument was totally spot on here! Bobby's life would have been so much easier and happier without Pam in it. Of course less drama on a soap is the last thing the writers want. The creators of the show had originally written Bobby and Pam as star crossed lovers like Romeo and Juliet. The problem is that once they saw the chemistry between Patrick and Victoria they never could get around to the part where their love affair became doomed. They always wanted to find new ways to shove them back together be damned to the whether the reasoning behind it made any sense.

Pam was Bobby's first love, but being with Jenna Wade was not as complicated as being with Pam. For one, JR liked Jenna Wade ALOT, and JR didn't like a lot of people. Second, Jenna Wade had a point, that whole Barnes-Ewing feud wouldn't happen as long as Pam was not with Bobby. It sure did come between Bobby and Pam on several occasions. But with Bobby being with Jenna Wade, they didn't have to worry about that.

Faith Watkins, that's exactly what I'm talking about. Believe me, I am well aware of the history between Jenna and Bobby. I know they have known each other their whole lives, but let's just say that Bobby fell for both of these women. And again, I know Pam and Bobby divorced because she couldn't take the back and forth with JR, and she felt like she was always put in the situation of choosing between her brother, and husband. That's exactly what I'm talking about. I mean, let's be honest, JR didn't like Pam from Day 1, he was SO against this marriage, he went to such extreme levels to break it up. And Pam didn't like JR either so the feeling was mutual there. As for choosing between her brother and her husband, I think both were at fault. If Cliff Barnes wouldn't have put so much of himself into that Barnes-Ewing feud, he would have done alright for himself. But him CONSTANTLY trying to stick it to the JR, and the Ewings always put Pam in very awkward positions. And I'm sure Bobby didn't appreciate it when Pam was always sticking up for her brother, making him seem like he was some kind of saint, and they had arguments about it.

Even if they had their own place, I still believe they would have problems. She's a Barnes, he's a Ewing. There is a reason why relationships between them don't normally work out, but I don't ever doubt that Pam's feelings for Bobby ever changed. I know that she always loved Bobby, and Bobby loved her. But all I'm saying is this is NOT all JR's fault. Bobby and Pam had a hand in it too, and even Jenna had a hand in their divorce too. I mean, Bobby never told Pam he was the father of Jenna's child Lucas, I mean Ray had to tell her, and everything.

I know everyone on here hated Jenna and rooted for Pam. After all, Bobby and Pam really loved each other. No denying that at all. But just look at it “realistically”: For one...Pam and Bobby should have never gotten married. There was an endless feud between their families. They knew this but got married anyway. They didn’t even bother leaving Dallas. They stayed right there in the middle of Southfork and the endless chaos that came with it, knowing full well that they would always be caught in the middle of the feud. And then Pam can’t take anymore and leaves Bobby. She’s hurt but it was the right thing to do. Bobby didn’t cheat on Pam with Jenna. He met back up with her AFTER Pam left him. He got involved with Jenna AFTER Pam made it abundantly clear that she no longer wanted him, despite his multiple efforts to get her back. She continuously rebuffed him. And then Mark comes along and Pam dates him, but holds him at arm’s length until he gets rightfully tired of it and basically gives her an ultimatum about what the hell she really wanted to do with him. She’s dumb enough to continuously listen to Katherine’s nosy and overbearing advice about Bobby, naive enough to think that Katherine really gave a damn about her. Although Pam doesn’t want Bobby, she doesn’t want anyone else to have him either, which is selfish because SHE left HIM. He DESERVED to move on with WHOMEVER he wanted to. Every time Pam saw Bobby and Jenna, her entire face would drop to the ground. SO WHAT? She made her decision, most of it without giving it any deep thoughts because she was allowing Katherine in her ear the entire time, yet she didn’t want Bobby but always looked like a deer in headlights anytime she saw him with Jenna. And both women were intimidated by each other. It wasn’t just Jenna. Pam was intimidated by Jenna because she knew that Jenna was Bobby’s first love and she will always be special to him. Jenna knew that Bobby wasn’t over Pam when they met back up after Pam left Bobby. So don’t place all of the blame on Jenna. I personally liked her. It’s not like Bobby cheated on Pam nor left her for Jenna. Pam left BOBBY. And because of that, I couldn’t blame Jenna ONE BIT for speaking up to Pam while Bobby was in the hospital trying to recover. Pam has NO BUSINESS lingering around at the hospital just because she “wanted to”. No, that’s what Jenna was there for and she was 100% right in telling Pam to back the f**k off.

You are so correct however I get why Pam kept coming around .. she loved him and was still acting like his wife.. she still felt like his wife.. but she did forfeit that right.. I didn’t hate Jenna.. she saw her chance and went for it.. but Bobby and Pamela weren’t done.. Bobby and Pam were always pulling towards each other no matter what.. when they were about to remarry and ray told Bobby about Jenna, Bobby took Pamela aside and told her that he was either in love with pammy from the first moment he saw her or that he wanted her from the the first time .. both were good fits for Bobby.. I just preferred Pamela..

Both ladies were stunningly beautiful but they styled Jenna so wrong, right down to the hair, and the fact that Priscilla Presley is so wooden when she acts, coming off as cold and stoic, didn’t help matters. I always associate the role of Jenna Wade with her, but I think Morgan Fairchild did a better job. Another thing: What’s with the overly dramatic breathless sigh-y way of talking? Bobby, Jenna, and even Sue Ellen end their sentences like they just ran a marathon and are out of breath.

Pam is gorgeous here. Totally disliked Jenna.

I think Priscillia Presley is stunningly beautiful, but it isn't until watching these Dallas clips years later that I realized that she was really not a good actress. This scene illustrates it more than others with the contrast between her and Victoria Principal. Victoria goes through a whole range of emotions and subtext in this short scene without saying anything, you just see it all in her face and body language. She is listening to the dialogue. Priscillia on the other hand is always flat and one note. She always has the same dramatic, breathy affect to her voice. And she always does this odd thing where she pauses and looks away for a split second before saying a line, like she is trying to make us think that Jenna is thinking of something to say before she says it. But the result ironically looks so contrived and unnatural that it's distracting. (I see her do that in SO many of this Dallas clips) I respect PP as a personality and business woman, but the whole Jenna storyline would have been SO MUCH more dynamic and interesting if they had cast a more capable actress. Morgan Fairchild would have been amazing if had continued in the role.

I said the exact same thing. As a kid, I loved Jenna but discovering now she wasn’t such a great actress. And the breathy voice ( Bobby and Sue Ellen do it too, but at least they’re much better actors) drives me nuts!!!

Typical Pam, first she divorced Bobby to get her life in order and then she regretted it when he met Jenna and proposed to her! And good old JR certainly had a piece of clothes in every set of dirty laundry if Jenna could use the fact that he liked her as an argument for Pam to stay away from Bobby so Jenna could marry him!

I'm no fan of Priscilla Presley but, I will say, Victoria Princpal would be - by most standards - considered a very attractive/pretty woman. However, when she's in the same shot with Priscilla, she's just attractive. Priscilla Presley, before she ruined her face with surgery, injections, etc., was probably the most beautiful woman in the world. She was perfect. Again, I'm no fan - just stating facts.

Jenna is a certain sort of girl we all know.

Jenna was so worried. She knew the only chance she had was trying to keep Pam away. She knew that Bobby would always be "in love" with Pam, and Pam would always be "in love" with Bobby. Jenna criticizes Pam for walking away from Bobby, yet Jenna herself broke Bobby's heart many years earlier when they ran off to Europe. She is not so concerned with Pam making Bobby's life more complicated, as she is with saving her own behind from losing Bobby to Pam. All that effort went for nothing on her part, because Bobby and Pam found their way back to each other anyway - the way it was meant to be..

Morgan Fairchild was *WAY BETTER.*

John Dyer Agreed. And she never had a problem moving on with others. If Bobby worked at Ewing Oil too much, she’s upset and going out of town with Alex (when she worked at The Store). She left Bobby twice and the 2nd time...she got with Mark not long after. And then she’s driving around in the same car Bobby bought for her with “Ewing 6” although she’s not a Ewing anymore. And what really irritated me was how much she kept lingering around the hospital after Bobby was shot. Jenna was right at that time: leave Bobby alone! SHE left HIM! All of that money she had, and she never bothered to buy herself a car to replace the ones (more than one!) that Bobby bought for her! No doubt, I liked Pam a lot when the show first started and while her and Bobby was married. I truly rooted for her back then. But after she left Bobby and time went on, I started to grow a dislike for her character. ANNOYING! Ok. I’m done venting now lol...

Don't forget Pam's sister, Katherine played a big part of the breakup between Bobby and Pam. Pam was willing to work things out until Katherine wrote a fake letter manipulating Bobby to agree with the divorce.

storytel27 although Bobby loved Pam more and the chemistry was better between the two of them Jenna would have been a more stable wife, who would have been with him going into the new Dallas series. She wasn’t as susceptible to the mood swings that Pam experienced. In the end, his marriage to Pam gave him heartbreak. It was the saddest 😢 thing to watch Jenna explain to Charlie that Bobby wasn’t going to be with them.
