Afton Cooper was one of the most gorgeous women that Dallas ever had. She had the body, the brains, beauty, and she was very talented. But she was WAY TOO GOOD for Cliff back then, she was way too good for Cliff when they reunited. Overall, like I said before about Cliff, if he had not put so much of himself into that feud with the Ewings, he could have done very well for himself. He might have actually been married to Afton, and he could have been very happy with her. But he cared way too much about himself way too many times.

Afton was sincere with Cliff. She really loved him. But Cliff is a dumber because he didn't find her value. And yet, he had all on his way to show him that the most important was not to fight the Ewings but to win in love. In the kingdom of the blind, one-eyed men are kings.
