I was asked to perform a portrayal of the infamous, Lola Montez’s “Spider Dance”, back in June, 2023 for the Sacramento Old City Cemetery Fundraiser, but unfortunately, I had broken my left foot a few weeks prior. I’m proud to say, here it is, many months later!
About Lola Montez:
Lola Montez, (born February 17, 1821, Grange, County Sligo, Ireland-died January 17, 1861, New York, New York, U.S.) Irish adventuress and “Spanish” dancer achieved international notoriety through her liaison with King Louis I (Ludwig I) of Bavaria.
Lola’s Spider Dance: A young woman believes a deadly tarantula is hiding in her skirts. She twirls wildly, pulling at her clothes to find the spider before it bites her. Lola threw everything into her performance pulling away her clothing to expose well-turned ankles, shapely arms and a heaving bosom.
