This is the best podcast around, hands down. Jr has always seemed so genuine, just a regular guy that had some things go his way. These podcasts give you a front row seat, and allows us to experience some of the personalities that we don't on Sunday. As a lifelong Earnhardt fan, the media coverage they received allowed the fans to be closer from a distance. Dale's fan base is still growing, because people who didn't pull for him on the track enjoy who he is as a person when they tune in.

Well this playlist has been on for a few hours in the background and I love the repartee. Your Dad and Richard Petty were my heroes.! I went in to business for a Industrial parts distribution company. Always kept building hot rods for my whole career. Now I restore 1st and 2nd generation Corvettes for collectors. Still watch you broadcast on Sundays! I will die turning wrenches! Should have stayed with NASCAR and it would have worked! I bought a New ZL1 from Rick in 2015. I always felt terrible for him after the plane crash. I went to the next race in Atlanta and cried with the team after Jimmie won and they all out their hats on backwards. I didn't understand how someone could lose their son, brother, and 2 nieces and go on living. My biological mom died when I was almost 3 and since I couldn't remember much about her, I always just pittied my dad for losing his wife and thought it would be i.possible to survive what he went through, losing her at 15 and his dad at 19...... I remember asking him when I was 31, and had just lost my dog I had for 12 years and thought the world was over, how did you survive losing your dad and your wife in such a short period.......He said "He didn't have a choice. He said he couldn't do anything about it so he just went on with no other option.....10 years later in 2014 I lost him and my adopted mom (since 5 years old) and sister in a house fire the same week my dad's mom died, when the house I grew up in burned down. I realized right away my dad was right and I have always wondered how Rick has handled this and how he remembers his lost loved ones. I love to talk about mine and hope he does too. I love yall and wish you all the best.

I remember Rusty Wallace's car & his son, Steven driving it!!! I started going to races back in the 80's & was at alot of ICONIC races! Saw Rusty win the Championship in 1989 at Atlanta with Kodiac on his car & running the #27!!! Was at One Hot Night in 1992 in Charlotte! Saw Rusty in the Hooter's at Daytona but his date was NOT his wife Patty!!!🤣😂 Also, saw Jimmy Spencer win the Daytona race in July & was lucky enough to be in the same Hotel with Jimmy & his team! They had a pool party after the race with FRER catered food & free alcohol! After we were all DRUNK at around midnight, everybody left the pool area & ran down to the beach yelling, screaming & partying till the sun came up! Many, many great memories of NASCAR over a span of 30+ years!!! THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIENDS & wouldn't change a thing!!! 💯❤🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

It’s good to have a driver that so many people can look up to like Junior. I am a big big Earnhardt Junior and Senior fan. My dad was always a Dale Earnhardt Senior fan. When Dale passed away that hurt us all. It hurt! I think the world of Junior! I would rather that he not drive but continue his commentating. He is a terrific color commentator. I believe that race car drivers need to be active driving 100% of the time and not just from time to time. I believe it to be dangerous to just jump into a car and go 200 miles per hour on an occasional basis. I believe it jeopardizes himself and other drivers.

I was up talking to Chris, a big very smart partsman about parts I needed for a car in the shop. Rick walks in and introduces himself as did I. Then the 2 of us went out into the garage and looked at a vette in the line-up of about 7 cars he had parked in the shop. Chit-chat I don't remember and he got called off to a phone call but before he left he said," It's been very nice to meet you Mr Godwin" and I reciprocated. And that was that. I'm retired now after 37 years in the dealership parts trade.

Dale commented that most if not all race drivers care about how their car looks. I would say that goes for the majority of non-race drivers as well. I know that in my case, with the clearcoat flaking off of it's Victory Red paint, I still try to keep it as clean and neat as possible (or maybe it's because I used to be a professional detailer). Heck, I bought this particular car, a Chevy Cobalt SS, new back in 2005 because Dale Jr. drove a red Chevy SS in Cup. I even nicknamed it "Bud" because of what the race car had written across the hood in big, white letters. If I could afford to, and if I could justify it for a 17 year old, daily driven, 200,000 + mile car, I would have it professionally repainted just so that it would look good again. It's just transportation, but it's MY transportation, and I want it to look good! (If I ever do have it painted, I'm even thinking about adding the long, drawn out "E" stripes diwn low on the sides like all of the DEI cars had in the team's early days).

I like the way Dale Jr. thinks and analyzes things before he acts on them. I too agree with him on the matter - the car must look right to the driver. That is very critical in every aspect. That part of Dale says that he respects what is at stake and has pride in what he does. That is the kind of driver that you want driving your car. I wish all the drivers in NASCAR were that way. It would be a better sport.

Dale Jr, I wanted to let you know that even though I wasn’t a fan of your father’s but he was the GOAT of racing. My grandma on the other hand loved him the greatest. She use to own a race car and the ran in Hickory back in the dirt track days. When you grandpa Ralph was racing. She never ever had anything bad to say about your family she use to say that your dad was going to be the best of the best and he was. God bless

11:00 As a designer myself, that's exactly what I think. A good looking paint scheme represents the sponsor properly, and it gets the attention that it deserves. A poor paint scheme says a lot of bad things. If you want your brand to get attention out there, you gotta turn some heads with your designs.

As a signwriter I used to do a lot of dirt track cars from junior sedans to sprint cars and also a variety of road course class cars and I would always try to drum it it the drivers to keep the presentation of their cars top notch and look after their sponsors and their sponsors would stick with them. Presentation is everything.

OK a few things Geoff Bodine raced in my neck of the woods,Rick put him in his first car,Geoff gets Rick his first win when he needed it.Fast forward Rick hires Jeff Gordon to drive and we all know where that went. But when I heard that JR was coming to HMS that was IT.I have been around short track racers my whole life and I have never seen a more humble driver than JR.And knowing the background and my admiration for Mr.Hendrick I thought it was a match made in heaven.JR could have driven for Mr.H forever. What cemented my RESPECT for JR was when he stepped away from the car for health reasons. That was unheard of and changed all sports. That was a historical decision.JUST SAYING.

Damn straight the car has to look good! I'm a grass roots drag racer. I'm not looking for sponsors because my car is still technically street legal and I do drive it on the street now and then. However, I've had many people ask me what color my car is because they are looking for sponsorship and they think the color will impress potential sponsors. The thing is that it's a custom mix that my daughter came up with when she was taking body shop classes in high school. She calls it sapphire black metalic and she won't give up the recipe.

It wasnt always the equipment tho,Mark Martin got the 5 team from Mears and turned them all the way around to give Jimmie a run for his money and the championship, he did that with the worse team/equipment at Hendrick at the time. For whatever reason Jr couldnt takeoff into that elite tier of racers, but that doesnt make him any less of a great driver for not being able to get there. It just is what it is.
