Dal Pakwan Shots
Ingredients for Dal:-
50gms of Channa Dal (Soaked)
1Tsp of chopped garlic
1Tsp turmeric
Salt as per taste
1Tbspn oil
Ingredients for Pakwan (Chips/ Puris)
100gm of Maida
1Tsp ajwain
Salt as per taste
1 Tbsp of ghee
Water as required
*Oil for frying
*Tamarind chutney
*Green chutney (mint- coriander)
*Chopped tomatoes 🍅
*Chopped onions 🌰
*Pomegranate
*Nylon sev
Procedure
*Take a pressure cooker & add soaked channa dal, salt, garlic, oil & water (as required) cover the lid & pressure cook till 2 whistles.
*Next in a bowl add maida, salt, ajwain & ghee & knead into a soft dough & give rest atleast for 10-15mins.
(For chips)
*Next make small balls from the dough. Now roll a big roti & prick it with a fork & cut it into a rectangle shape & deep fry it.
(For Puris)
*Next roll a big roti & prick it with a fork & cut it in a round shape with the help of cookie cutter & deep fry it.
*Next take a kadai over a heat & add oil, boiled channa dal, salt, red chilli powder & cook well. Now take some portion of channa dal in a separate bowl ( which we will be using for Pakwan chaat recipe). Next add some water in the remaining of the dal & cook for 5 -7 mins. Lastly add some coriander in it & mix well.
Assembling Dal Pakwan Shots
*Next take shot glasses, pour some dal ( which is of little liquid consistency), Now add green chutney, tamarind chutney, tomatoes, onions, raw mangoes, pomegranate & lastly put pakwan chips in it & garnish it with nylon sev.
*Now it's ready to serve
Assembling Pakwan Chaat
*Take small pakwan puris( which we made it) & lay it in a platter & repeat the same procedure one by one as we did in Dal Pakwan Shots & it's ready to serve.
