Oh my god! My mother once told me that I slept with my eyes open as a baby. Now, according to my mother, and I do remember this, they had to take me for an ECG on me because sleeping with your eyes open is a sign of epilepsy. Back in the day, the leeds had needles on the end, which were inserted into the scalp. I remember my parents lying to me about said procedure by telling me it was a test to see how much I loved my father. YES, I'm fully aware that these people were sadistic. I do remember not speaking to them afterward.

Blanchette has kind of smoked herself unattractive. She may not smoke now, also denied smoking ever except in films, but there’s a lot of pictures of he smoking when not acting. She did the damage earlier in life. Kate Winslet has kept things in check (genetics) but she sure is showing the damage smoking causes as well. It’s too bad. Society doesn’t take the somewhat haggard look of smoking as attractive on women, but men who have smoked themselves craggy (ugly) are often seen as rugged and attractive as a result, Mel Gibson, George Cluny, etc. It’s unfortunate, but not a good decision for women to smoke. Too bad. Yes, I’m a non-smoker and have difficulties dealing with it. The smell actually makes me physically ill. Likely something carrying over from parents who chain smoked and as a result, my lungs have had been damaged as result, my siblings as well, yet none of us smoke. Likely from having to put up with parents that often enough lit a smoke with the smoke they are about to put out,,,, ugghhh. It killed them both at a too young of age,,,.

@@sarahberkner - I’m just being factual. They don’t look great, really or I wouldn’t have made the comment. As far as the voices, I know a lady never smoked a day in her life but you would assume she was a heavy smoker by her voice. It started to show up when she was 13-14. She always had a slightly raspy voice as a child. She despises smoking and has never smoked a day in her life.we grew up together, I know. Some people’s voices do better than others, depends on how much they drink, do they only smoke at home or spend many hours a week in a smokey bar, etc. it’s not as simple as you sat. Kate has admitted in interviews she is a heavy smoker.
