This one is not a take apart for the weekend warrior. Not an easy service, but I wanted to show folks the how to, so there you go. Thanks for watching - Dennis
I have two mint condition ones these & the guy who services reels for the shop I work at, said these are one of the best reels ever made, and make a Shimano Tyrnos look crap (it's ali framed equivalent), not a TLD30ii (which is graphite). Do you agree? They were very expensive new (but worth it). The free spool time on these is amazing. I just love these reels. Whenever I see an unused or excellent condition one, I will buy it. I prefer to my Tiagra 30LRWS & Aluctecnos Albacore 30. Cheers, keep up the awesome, valuable work. You're a god send mate. Dave in NZ

I think that both of these are nice reels, but the Daiwa is built like a tank and it will outlast just about anything. Thanks for the note and for watching - Dennis

I’m definitely seeing some small similarities between this and the international, the spool , click plate .. it’s a nice reel wish I had one 😁

That is a great reel. One of the best at what it does - Dennis
Hi. Nice videos as always. Do you have one for the Daiwa Sealine tournament SLT 50 by any chance. I am trying to work on one but have no idea how to remove the ratchet cover. It's part number K30-7801. Is there a special tool for it? any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

can you send me the schematic and the part circled. or a picture of your reel and the problem part? I cannot find that reference on the schematic I found. Please send in a note to my email 2ndchancetackle@gmail.com and I will try to help. Thanks for asking Dennis
Is the drag plate on this model smaller than the ld50H model? Where do you buy replacement s?

I'm not sure. Check the schematic for both reels and the parts numbers that will confirm and answer your question. Thanks - Dennis
I just same up on someone selling a sld20 for $100 and it's in really good condition. Is that a good deal?

That depends. The key is condition and operation. If it is nice condition and turns free and easy, then it is worth it. If it is showing signs or high use or abuse or wear/corrosion etc or if it turn sluggish or does not feel right throughout the lever drag range, then I would pass on it. Thanks for asking - Dennis
How many pounds of drag do you think this puts out i found one pretty much brand new for 250$
