I agree with what Mat says at the end, that watching or reading the stuff you think is really good makes you feel like what’s the point. I often feel like it’s all been done before so what new do I have to give this world 😕

Yes, and also the great thing he says about ideas. That it`s not the original idea (there`s a pretty limited number of them, after all) but your individual voice that matters. So true

I absolutely loved this-Mat is speaking so passionately and you can tell daisy is really listening, two individuals who genuinely care for their craft, It's great to see :-)

It was quite interesting to hear about Matts first steps. He is such a multitalented person! But what intrigues me most is not his acting, singing or writing, it's his skill to read out. No kidding! The other day I found on Audible the one audiobook for adults (Last Chance to See written by Douglas Adams) he'd done and couldn't stop listening. I wish, there would be more of them. It's a rare gift, he has! His voice gets never boring and never falls into that certain monotomy narrators of audiobooks, apart from only few excetions, nearly always incline. It's truly a pleasure to listen and 7 hours aren't enough. Anyway! I wish him all the best and I'm looking forward to the funny, interesting stuff we will see and hear from him in the future.

So lovely to listen to these two funny, intelligent and warm-hearted people having a chat. I don't know why, I find the way Mat Baynton speaks very calming... I always enjoy listening to him, whenever he speaks about music, books, comedy, anything, it's always so interesting and insightful. It's nice to hear about his experience pre-Horrible Histories gang too! "No one will notice" ha yeah 😄

This is so inspiring. I get so worked up thinking about recording music like "it's not gonna be perfect" and "I don't know how to do this yet" and I keep putting off putting anything out there, but I just have to start doing it. I have to let go of that perfectionism and just start. Everyone starts at the bottom. What matters it starting at all. Thank you Daisy and Mat!

What an absolutely fabulous interview. I mean, that's all just excellent LIFE advice, some of which I plan to apply immediately. I just love how self-effacing and honest he is about everything. He's not up himself about anything, and that's so refreshing. And yet he still has a quiet confidence that shines through. It's really remarkable, and so compelling to watch. I love how he's like, "someone told me I probably shouldn't do it, so I was like, okay..." - it's so darn *relatable*. I think I could listen to him tell family life stories forever, too. That's also so, so relatable. And you can tell that he's a great father and partner. It's these skills that cross over, isn't it? Because he's an active listener, you can tell he's taking everything in, and thinking deeply about it, then giving back and communicating openly. What more could one ask for? His family and friends are super lucky to have him.

I am writing a script currently about WW1. I have always been a keen writer since like the late years of secondary school. I have been editing it since possibly 2016. I cannot remember when I officially started the blank piece of paper but I have had the biggest dream of my script being made into a film. That would be my biggest dream.

My second and second cousins-once-removed and third cousins are so dear and close with me I just call them cousins and are probably like most other people’s first cousins. I didn’t know these two were related (are they truly?) and I love them both. I’d love to see more of the cast of Ghosts on Taskmaster. 3 already is pretty amazing. Taskmaster is my favorite show right now for just chilling and making me laugh. I’m rewatching all the Idiots’ work too now and just loving it. The American version of Ghosts by the way is really irritating. It’s not as bad as the American attempt at Broadchurch, but it’s just grating to see the American simplification of some things, overly spelling out stuff. And the characters are simply not as charming. Even Pat (I forget what they changed his name to) isn’t right. The version of the Captain is so irritating; I know he’s supposed to be, but they’re all supposed to ultimately be lovable in their way, and they’re not. I should just write a review on Amazon shouldn’t I. I’m just writing along.
