Daisy Steps Up to Feed the Homeless at Venice Beach Amid Local Charity Leader's Illness
On Sunday, April 28, 2024, Daisy, also known as the Venice Healer, (@UniteTheSuperheros ) along with her fiancé Jeff Kupers and a team of volunteers, stepped in to support the community by feeding the homeless on the Venice Beach Boardwalk. This initiative came as a response to the illness of Dan Hubbard, the founder and CEO of Oasis, who was recently sidelined and unable to continue his work.
Daisy and Jeff began their day early, using the Oasis van to collect donated food items from Whole Foods and Vons. They then transported these provisions to Venice Beach, where volunteers were ready to distribute them. The assortment of donated food included fresh fruits and vegetables, pastries, cookies and desserts, baked breads, and various protein options.
The couple plans to continue this vital service, providing meals to the unhoused while Dan is recovering. Their efforts align with the broader mission of Oasis Network, which has a long-standing tradition of reaching out to the homeless, not only on weekends at Venice Beach but also on weekdays in Redondo.
Oasis Network benefits from generous food donations from stores like Whole Foods, Vons, Sprouts, Bonds, Walmart, and Grocery Outlet. Their approach goes beyond mere food distribution; they also offer emotional and spiritual support, including biblical teachings before meals, and they spend time engaging with the community to better understand and address their needs.
Through decades of dedicated service, Oasis Network has established itself as a vital advocate for the unhoused, connecting them with essential social services and fostering a sense of community and empowerment among volunteers, including those who are themselves experiencing homelessness. This inclusivity and commitment to empowerment underscore the transformative impact of Oasis Network's work on the Venice Boardwalk and beyond.

When I came across her videos a long time ago, I used to say to myself, what a beautiful woman and what a. E came across this video today in its absolutely incredible to see that she's doing so much better, and she's trying to make a change in her community, which is a lot more than I can say for a lot of individuals, politicians, including Newsome. This video was actually very touching from the. bottom of my heart, I hope she continues to realize that she is special. She matters and she is important, and she continues to do well for herself.💞😇😇😇😇

She KNOWS she can’t raise her kids. She doesn’t want that….she WANTS to SEE them and hug them….thats it! And she deserves that! Her mother is wrong to turn her kids away from her and eventually her boys will see the light and will see their mother! Her mother has cut her off completely and sees nothing but the past. Daisy is all about healing now. Everyone who knows her loves her.

Why do people keep bringing up this woman getting her kids back? She will never get her kids back she has lost not just custody, but her rights. Once you loose your rights thats it, and another thing she beat her kids. The kids are scared of her. I will say on this video she seems to be not as high as usual so, maybe she can stay helping with the food drive, but her kids are no more. She would be lucky to even have supervised visits. Thats what happens when you physically beat your kids. She doesn't need her kids.

Daisy's new beau may be just the person to tame her and help her settle down a bit. I've had strong opinions because my daughter was part of the Venice Beach homeless for awhile and so I have 2nd-hand first-hand knowledge. I'm pretty sure she thinks my comments are critical of her and we all know she's really not available for that...but it's said with love...tough love. She makes it easy to criticize the choices she makes....but lately, I see a calmer, more grounded in reality Daisy and despite her flaws, it looks good on her

You people are doing good work. Myself and i think most people are very split on the issue of the homeless / transient community. We all make some bad choices and some of us had some misfortune in life . At the end of the day whatever the circumstances we are all human beings and all deserve to be treated as such. She don't pay HER bills either! She doesn't have a job. She's a "sugar baby": She lives off of rich men. Furthermore, she's the one looking for attention with her antics: by confronting police officers trying to get the homeless out of restrooms and off the boardwalk; by barging into business establishments yelling about the "market economy" and "market capitalism"; by skateboarding up and down the boardwalk yelling and singing to get attention; and by posting it all online so that thousands of people can view it. I think it says more about HER than about the people who criticize her antics!l
