I so love that scene when they are singing "he's dead he's dead he's dead he dead. .." and len complains and they shout back. Brilliant series. Really should be on tv rather than just online

This Country is an original idea, I love the fact that the two main characters wrote it. Their relationship is so believable, I live in a similar environment to the countryside and I can relate to what they've created. For example we have a rag event every year, whilst they include the excellent scripted scarecrow competition in Episode 1. I do hope they make another season, just hope they don't over do it but think its great so far!

But "The Office" was a rehash of the devil / christ sketches from Big Train... It just did, a little, better. (& was a golden-globe award winning series) - everything is borrowed, my point is - it's the BEST rehash of the office, & many copies have come-along & failed since... Of course, Kurton is Gareth, & the mentioning of Fray Bentos, you can even find entire scenes that are lifted from the Office series, & slightly re-written to fit, but still...

So far i can think of 4 direct references to the office. People just do nothing is far better imo (with far more diversity in character also.)

1st direct reference: Fray Bentos. Also, Kerry has several scenes that are rehashes of Dawn scenes from the office, the crying bit in ep. 3/4? I'm curious to hear your 4...

Ep1: a) the 'hello..uh?' scene where they pretend kers mum calls them in to avoid slugs b) kurton repeatedly getting called to face the vicar for progressive offences related to the scarecrow comp mirrors brent called in for sexism/racism c) Kers made up story about the plums and then the awkwardness of being found out when the kid drops her in it = brents phonecall sacking of finchy which was on answerphone d) 'Ive got enemies in ... (lists 4 places) = winnersh - > burghfield ep 3: fray bentos/kurton ... ep6: a) kers interaction with kurton at the door could be from the office its that similar i feel like the 'inspiration' is so clear they mustve actively watched the office during the writing process to generate ideas and put them in a different context ....could be wrong though.....could still be good though* * i hope you see what i did there

As an American, I LOVE this show! I might not understand the Cotswolds, but I now love everything about them. PLEASE film more!

This has become my favourite series of all time, the best kind of humour

It's a great show. Funniest thing on TV at the moment by far.

Its hilarious! They are both brilliant! Watching from California to remember the area where I come from!

This is pretty accurate. A lot of the Cotswolds is shown to be like a paradise, but there's a lot of disadvantaged people and also a lot of Tories.
