Awesome video! You've definitely got an underrated channel here, I subscribed. I've been wondering about where to go next in terms of self-sufficiency; I live in a suburban/urban area without a huge yard, but big enough for my chickens. I've been raising chickens, and I've raised ducks and quail but was unsatisfied with both. Planting herbs and vegetables has been fun too. Anyways, I'm glad to have a video that compares all three of the main sources of dairy, since most just ignore sheep and compare cows and goats; definitely makes this one very helpful.

Thank you! It can be challenging to find good information about dairy sheep because they’re just not as popular but it seems like once you know where to look there’s more available. We’ve been dabbling in a lot of different things the last couple years and now it feels like we’re really getting dialed in on what works for us. Good luck on your journey…

How does it compare...milking a sheep versus milking a cow. Can you do it by hand? How many sheep can you keep per acre.

I plan on milking by hand but you can milk either cows or sheep with a machine. Milking sheep is different because they have smaller tests and they also hold milk in their udder in a different way. As far as sheep per acre it’s going to depend on the forage available; this is something I’m currently learning about and recommend a resource called On Pasture
