Man, I'm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, according to my grandfather story, my ancestors came from the island of Jolo, migrated to Sabah around the 19th century, settled and married local people, then migrated again to Malay Peninsula around 1960s. I am of mixed descent, Brunei, Dayak, Melayu and Tausug. But I know only a little about Tausug. My grandfather said, we still have relatives in Jolo but it may be difficult to get to know each other because we have never been in contact. I really want to go to Jolo Island but I'm too worried about safety and I can't speak the Tausug language. But maybe one day the courage will appear and I will go to Jolo, the birthplace of my ancestors.

Gusto ko din marating yang jolo sulu.. may mga half sister & half brother ang nanay ko diyan.. sa last na sulat ng nanay ko apo na ang naka received.. sabi nila matagal ng patay ang mga kapatid niya.. at nagmove na daw cla sa zamboanga dahil noon 90’s magulo na daw ang jolo sulu.. kaso hnd ko na mahanap yong sulat na yon.. patay na rin ang nanay ko noon 2016.. hnd ko alam kung may mga kamag anak pa kaming mga barwel Family diyan sa jolo sulu.. diko alam kung saan lugar diyan..sana someday mahanap ko mga kamag anak namin diyan sa mindanao..

Sir pag pupunta b non resident jan jolo need pa mag avail sa local tourism office ng tour guide? Sobra mahal kc pag me tour guide pa 15 per person 2days

Hello sir, depende po sa inyo sir. Mahirap kasi pag walang tour guide lalo nat hindi niyo kabisado ang lugar though safe naman pero hindi niyo ma enjoy whereas pag may tour guide ma ilibot niya po kayo sa mga sikat na tourist spot na lugar kaso lang may kamahalan. Hehe kung plano niyo di na magtourguide make sure na alam niyo na at may listing kayo sa mga spot na pupuntahan niyo para sulit, take note na mayroon din mga taong hindi honest sa lugar, wag lang basta2 magtitiwala basta medyo cosy sa jolo pero sa pagkain at mga paliguon very cheap as and affordable. Manood2 muna kayo ng mga vlog na real happenings about jolo
