Soon, I reached a small town I had never seen before.
It was quaint, with narrow alleys and colorful houses.
I parked my car and decided to explore.
As I walked down a cobbled street, I noticed a small bakery.
The smell of fresh bread made my stomach growl.
I went inside and bought a warm croissant.
While I was eating, an older man approached me.
He wore a friendly smile and asked if I could help him.
He needed to move a heavy box into his shop.
I agreed and followed him to his small bookstore next door.
Together, we carefully lifted the box onto a shelf.
He thanked me warmly and offered me a free book.
I picked a travel guide about nearby towns and villages.
I thanked him and decided to explore more of the town with my new book.
I wandered through the streets, passing the old library and a beautiful church.
I took my time, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
When I finally returned to my car, the older man was waiting outside his shop.
He waved and said, "I hope you enjoyed your visit!"
I smiled and waved goodbye.
I drove home with a warm feeling in my heart.
What started as a wrong turn turned into a lovely adventure.
It's amazing where life can take you when you follow a new path.
When I got home, I called my friend and told her all about my unplanned trip.
