I'm new to the art journaling world and thanks to your tutorials I'm having the best time ever! You're "Oops, oh well!" mantra helps me to be more free with the journaling than I would be because of my perfectionist mentality. Thank you for that! Not sure if you'll ever see this since it's two years late but had to say thank you for sharing your amazing gift of teaching and your hard earned artistic talent! Not sure why the tutorials have stopped but I'll cherish the ones that we have! Hope all is well with you and your family - Love from Utah💕

Another fabulous video! You and Julie Fei-Fan Balzer were the first artists I found on the internet many many years ago and still really love. You do make me laugh, 'Lower your standards and you'll have way more fun,' is what I have taken away from this particular video, excellent!

Dina - these videos are wonderful and inspiring. I’ve watched every one and am thoroughly amazed at the creativity you’ve shown dat after day. You’ve given me SOOOO MANY ideas for new and different ways to enjoy the products that I love . . . and I am a huge fan of your paint, stamps, journals, stencils, sprays! I hope that some day I will be able to tell you in person just how much these videos have meant to me during this time of endless days and worrisome nights.

Your so called “dirty mess” is a truly creative mess, and watching you has changed my life. I am now OK with paint on the covers of my journal and oopses of gesso or paint on my denim and burlap pages

I’m sure you r anxious to return to your normal routine teaching classes everywhere. A dear friend of mine wanted to paint a quilt so I turned her on to your paints. Thx for bringing us on your daily journeys during the CV lockdown.

Thank you so much! I'm a quilter /instruction follower, trying to branch out to do random acts of art and mess. You are really helping me. I figure if I end up stapling into a finger I'll know I have really let go.

I love the boundaries you create around yourself to deflect criticism. Watching that practice in action is inspiring for all kinds of engagement, not just creative. Although creative engagement has saved me through the pandemic, too. Thank you so much for this.

I stamp on calligraphy paper/rice paper because you can get low cost packs and it's huge and goes transparent when glued down in addition to the other textures I work on. it's a lightweight option that's easy to find on Amazon and makes wonderful backgrounds using Dina's stamps as well as Dyan's.

I know its long past when this video first aired…but a comment you are discussing about being copied…Picasso said, “Good artists borrow, great artists steal.” Look at the junk journal craze that is so popular…all the designers rush about the public domain world grabbing art and because they make it a fussy cut item….they call it theirs. But…we all have access to the same public domain data base…so anyone can do the same thing. Very little has not been done by someone in this world…but, has it been done by you? That’s the important part of learning from a “master” and then creating a copy or similar theme piece of your own. Your own outlook tweaks what may have begun as someone else’s idea on the road to greatness.
