This is a tutorial for a dahua sd59225u-hni using IVS auto tracking with an intrusion box
First I'd like to take a second to inform you of a great IP camera store with great prices, support and customer service.. Please visit Andy at: www.amazon.com/Dahua-SD59225U...
Steps:
1. Setup a preset by going to Settings tab - PTZ - FUNCTION -PRESET.. create a preset and save it.
2. Event tab - smart plan - add plan - select the preset you'd like to use, make sure the lightbulb block is orange and save.
3. IVS tab - Select your preset from drop-down box - click the green +, select intrusion in the drop-down box. Under video image click draw rule and draw the box you wish to create. Now click draw target box, adjust the max and min to the desired size. On the right(parameter setup) follow the setup i used and finally click save.
All situations are different, yours my take some tweeting. It is trial and error but it pretty effective once locked in..

Hello, shouldnt the Camera already start Tracking the Person when she crosses the Line top left and moving into the Zone?
So you don’t set any of this stuff on the NVR? I can do it on the camera and or NVR. (Both Dahua). What if I set different things on both. Are they supposed to sync? Thanks great video.

@CameraGuy Are you using the autotrack function under PTZ ---> Function ---> Intelligence? or is this off? This with intrusion or tripwire ?

That feature is off.. make a preset under ptz.. then go to Event, smart plan. I use intrusion boxes

@@bencav599 Yep, did that.... It works! but only on objects further away than 40 feet or so.... Closer than that, it hasn't got time to calculate what to do and that's a con for me with this camera. Thanks for responding and your explaination.

@@bencav599 You mean Target filter ? yeah... done that. But, it seams he camera needs a lot of time to estimate what to do when it is close to the object (everything closer than let's say 30 feet) For this I normally use the autotrack function because this respond a lot faster somehow. Always have issues with tripwire and intrusion. What codec do you use? 265 ? and do you use Smart codec? Smart codec is here always off, because what it does is, move just about 2 feet and return to basic preset. Thanks again.

Excellent video, I must have watched it +30 times. A couple of questions please @CameraGuy. My UI looks different to yours - heading slighly differently worded, I dont have the PTZ/Function box on the left (although I do have a connected PTZ - I have to set the functions up eg Presets via the NVR). Any idea why mine may be different? In target filter, it says min and max size, but no measurements showing! At 3.36 you switch to live view (my UI calls it Preview, but its the same) and you can clearly see Rule 3 in blue - when I switch to Live view I cant see the rule that I just created - any thoughts on why not? Many thanks for your time.

What camera are you using? Updated to newest firmware? Using IE browser?

@@bencav599 a) SD59430U-HNI (Dahua) b) I'm not sure how to check this or update f/w of the camera. I know this may seem basic and I've worked out how to update f/w of NVR (up to date) but not how to do it for cameras c) Yes, IE browser, it's the only browser I can access the NVR because of 'Install Plug in' issues which didnt work using FF

Can auto tracking be done in Blue Iris? Thinking of getting a ptz for my front and back yards.

The auto tracking ivs is setup inthe dahua sd59225u-hni cameras web interface.. but then use blue iris for alerts and recordings

The tracking is done thru the camera using ivs. Blue iris will record it all tho
Hi, May i know the version of the firmware ? my one doesn't has Alarm track timing, I want to monitor if the person presence in the zone more than 5min, Pls help me to solve this issue . Thank you

Draw rule is your intrusion or trip wire.. target is size of object you want to capture
