I noticed that the regeneration time (1.2 seconds per dagger) is applied only when she stops attacking, so a really interesting buff would be to apply it while she's attacking, this effectively regenerates up to 2.3 daggers by the time she goes from full ammo to none because 8 daggers x 0.35 attack speed turns out to be 2.8 seconds of total attacking time.

Although nice, this benefits her more when she’s already at full ammo. I think a more universal buff to her would be to just make the daggers each regenerate 0.2 secs faster

It's not about small or big troops, it's about small or big pushes. She's good vs small pushes and bad vs big ones

It's a bit weird because it feels like she has almost the exact same weakness as cannoner that being fast pace decks but at the same time she can't deal with big pushes

Cannoneer's weakness is simply swarm. He usually holds off better than the princess against big pushes as long as there's no bats or goblin barrel to distract him.

Honestly she seems like the weakest Tower Troop, either her reload needs to be faster or she has more ammo, then I think she'll be on par with the other two tower troops.

It really isn't hard to determine whether or not she is running out of daggers. In the end, the most common strategy to counter her is to simply spam troops anyway so there's not much difference on whether we can see the bar or not.

i really think they just should've done something like multi archer tower from clash of clans where she shoots 3 (or even 2) daggers at two different opponents but if there is just one, she focuses all attacks on that one opponent (exactly like the electro wizard attack now I'm realizing)

I think she doesnt seem too unbalanced, just maybe a bit underpowered. I think just increasing her max ammo to 10 or 12 would go a long way

They should of done something with her that's similar to the Little Princes fire rate charge up but resets after retargeting so that she is slightly more vulnerable to swarms but more potent against tanks. The reload mechanic just leaves her way too vulnerable for her to be comp I think.

All these updates are just indirect buffs to all Bridge Spams. With the new Battle Ram evolution, Zap Evolution, Buff to Pekka and now this..... Pekka Bridge Spam is going to crazy..

That’s literally just Cannoneer with extra steps.

Maybe you could make it so that the duchess regenerates 1 dagger every kill, so for example she would be good against skarmy, but the same as now against tanks. This may be a little op, but it would be more biased towards the idea of her countering swarms.

I mean yeah she struggles against bigger tanks after draining so there's a benefit to running tanks, and then it wouldn't be as detrimental to face swarms when that's the whole point of the card. I could see this not helping much against pekka bridgespam though cause the fireballies take so many daggers to kill still.

That's a good idea.

They seem to forget that the one facing this card is a human with eyes and a brain. The human understands that she is good vs small pushes and bad vs big ones, therefore they'll never send small pushes, therefore the card is shit and feels bad to play all the time.

I thought they were gonna use the rage spell to see if the ammo comes back faster, that’s what I wanted to see the most, probably doesn’t but maybe it does

What if instead, she could recharged the entire bar instantly but there’s a pause between each recharge 🤔 at the very least, it would avoid making her feel like a weaker cannonier

I feel like they should increase the first ammo recharge, because it is way to easy to bait the ammo out

Seeing Evo battle ram hitting the tower even once is just so satisfying.

This seems to fit into the beatdown decks, it is less punishing to ignore an oponents attack and build a push in the other side

I think that she’s gonna be amazing in control decks and paired with tornado

I think she could actually benefit a lot from a range nerf, since a lot of her daggers just get instantly used up the moment anything crosses the bridge

In my opinion, I think it would be better if she had a bit less damage,but no amo (like other towers). Like: she takes 2 shots for a squeleton,but she would take less damages against a skarmy than a princess tower because she is like a gatling

She's wild, looks super cool, and I feel like her extra HP and burst damage are gonna be really good in XBow decks

so constant pressure deck is going to reck her, +1 point to brigde spam and cycle decks

looks pretty bad to be honest, people won't use this in it's current state

I think the tower troops could be way better if we had like a standby phase when we load into a match both decks are shown and then we can choose what tower troop we want to bring into that match

Just makes no sense because a Goblin Gang or any other small card can waste her ammo, and then that whole side is vulnerable to any form of rush. It’s almost guaranteed damage if a tank pushes or a hog rider

Except it massively rewards you for constant pushing instead, to the point any deck not meant to constant push is still very rewarded, you need a VERY defensive deck to be able to compensate for that, and all you get is likely 1 or 2 spare elixir for what she can defend compared to someone else

@@monikaisdonewiththeinterne2039 Yes you need a defense heavy deck, in a meta designed for spamming attacks, in a game where it's super easy to counter single cards meaning you need support cards to do a good attack and taking away your entire defensive deck. The only use case for this tower is xbow and maybe mortar. Or perhaps RG as well, basically defensive siege decks.

If she's buff like her attack pierce 1tile the from the initial target.

Honestly I would prefer for it to reload all daggers at once for more time than just using one by one when empty.

She should be reworked so that she attacks with the same speed but makes way less dmg per hit with no reload time

That's what I was thinking before it's release low damage with fast speed why would they add a reload time to a tower troop with the current players just spamming everything on the bridge that will just encourage them to spam bridge even more

All of this Tower Troops made me appreciate the Tower Princess more than ever. We only got two new TT and the two of them are underwhelming, but at least the Dagger Duchess is not as horrible as the Canonneer is

For some reason I found that duchess pairs well with classic bridge spam with evo zap or ram but it ain’t available right now for the challenge

If she gets raged, does she regenerate her daggers faster? (Just wondering since freeze stops her recharge)

If I were supercell, I'd definitely do a buff with reload times or at least give her more daggers to be more viable in the upcoming battleram meta

It helps x-bow and counters x-bow, It has more hp so my x-bow needs more hits and my level 14 fireball (+2) needs a = amount of hits as a normal

It should reload two dagger at once then one for cooldown or by killing refills bit dagger.

I feel like because she IS a Legendary she should be able to unleash 10 daggers instead of 8 with a 1sec/1.1sec recharge then I would see it being good.

Dagger Duchess is basically Canoneer but less vulnerable to swarms

They should make her like a reverse little prince, where she starts off shooting fast and then gets really slow after some amount of shots, but every time she resets (no enemies around) she gains her increased speed back

She needs 10-12 knives and a slightly faster recharge or damage (I'd prefer damage). Conceptwise she's fine but she just drains her ammo too quick

Yeah, so based on what im seeing, i would probably prioritize running splash cards again and run more tank buster cards as well. They honestly might need to buff her a little bit just because she runs through them so quick.

Princess tower is still the strongest tower in the game.

It’s a legendary tower troop. And supercell has removed wild card from token shop BUT the good news is that it’s poop. Just stay with princess tower.

The duchess has ~6% less dps when charging up than the default tower, that's not that bad, since it still has ~5% more HP

Hey OJ, what do you think about if the DD instead of running out of ammo and shooting slow, she could instead begin to shoot faster like the little prince charge, but her damage significantly decreases to a reasonable amount. That way she can destroy swarms but she’d still need help to take a out a tank, because if her dps falls a bit compared to her dps when she attacks, she could destroy a tank but it would still force you to make a play to avoid too much damage. Maybe it wouldn’t work idk just an idea

a shame they didnt show what the interactions look like while the duchess is raged - also looks like she is legendary, wonder how hard leveling her will be as a f2p

i dont really see a benefit to using her. same with the canoneer. princess tower is so far just better. you never know who you face, so having a tower thatcan deal with everything is better than those specialized towers.

they should make it so once the ammo bar is empty, it won't attack for let's say 3 or so seconds, and then all the daggers are back. This means that it can balance the swarm out and make the tower more balanced with interactions being consistent. Give a like because I think this is a solid idea for a balance change. And who knows what could happen.

daggers could also regenerate slower if no opposition troop is on their side, in case it regenerates too quickly after a hog push per se.
