Daedelus is without a doubt one of the most unique producers I've ever listened to. His level of creativity is mind blowing. It's so hard to even describe his many releases in one genre because he dabbles in so many styles he's taken traditional styles of electronic and added his own take and it's simply incredible and amazing

I will never forget the first time I listened to this... 19 years old, had been puddles at a concert, my friends brought me back to the hotel room and saw a link for this on the bluelight psychedelic music forum. @ajdanlace The camera editing makes it a bit unclear, but the Monome (the pad thing) is lighting up different parts of a loop, basically one sample for each line. When pressing the buttons it'll trigger that point in the loop, chopping the small samples up further, sometimes replacing the sample with another, at other times changing the speed or pitch, creating collisions and juxtapositions. Thats pretty much the idea, there is other stuff going on with the smaller Monome, but it's a start.

+NYCBostero dude. haven't you heard? playing a traditional instrument is uber passé. it's all about those rubber buttons now. lol! sardonicism aside, i have no doubt that if this guy were to apply the same level of focus and passion to say, classical during the time of mozart, bach, beethoven, and brahms he'd be just as prolific. it's that ASD mind and, undoubtably, some kind of external factor (stimulant/ whatever) that allow the artists of today to distinguish themselves. i do feel as if there is a lack a humanity in said art, however. whether that's due to a lack of inspiration or simply a testament of the times is debatable. and i'm not even a fan of this dude.

This whole mix is super sick. But something about the start of 4:03 and all the way through that sample is so infectious. Daedalus creates great music.
