The Asgard were only able to send one ship to the fight and it was never shown to have been destroyed .. The data they collected from the encounter made it possible for them to develop the beam weapon technology ..

They already had beam technology but as we know ori technology is similar to ancient technology we all know those shields are , Anubis applied the same to his ships , good thing they finally got a defense cause people got owned in that battle

Your forgetting the asgard vasir was on board the odyssey and he would have collected the information from the odyssey computers, not to mention general landry said that an asgard ship was destroyed

@@xadam2dudex go to season 10 episode flesh and blood landry tells master bratac that ship's were destroyed including an asgard ship, it's been awhile since I've seen it but i think it was either that scene or it might have been with the ioa wolsey

We need new Star gate... but they need to make 10 years of content real fast to make up for lost time... I suppose it gets more expensive to make sci fi with 4k ... everything has to be more realistic and detailed

@@kyle18934 The only problem with a new stargate series is the story though, in an effort to wrap things up they made the SGC too overpowered with those Asguard beam weapons and Ancient technologies that can kill ascended beings. When you can defeat the Ori, Replicators and the Wraith after only 10 years there really isn't much in the way of threats. Even before that they made Jaffa and the System Lords basically canon fodder to service the plot. Like bruh, even compare the physiques of the Jaffa in the film vs in the series: in the film you have real warriors who's staff weapons can blow holes in walls, in the series most jaffa you see marching around are small and seriously overweight.

This is a juxtaposition of scenes from Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis to create a fictional sequence. Well done though! I was impressed!

Nice editing work. Two minor thing. The Deadalus had a few different guys in the system operator chair. But you can't change that. Also, turning the music down during the dialog-parts would be good.

@@martintaichl I like space combat games. Enemy starships taking one shot to destroy my mightiest fleet ships kind of makes me feel naked in the fight. You take your best shot that could take out the enemy and then they just shrug and say "is that all you got?" is one of those Oh Crap! moments. That is when I try to order all my game ships to retreat and hope some of them will survive for the next space battle.

I'd be more concerned about the Enterprise-E (or some kind of Sovereign Class Federation ship). The Death Star's an overexpensive mess of a project.

@@raydaveyrd I don't think that they would need any ZPMs to cloak, we have seen Ha'taks cloak and they are both larger and produce less power. I am not sure of that sort of cloak would work against any relevant factions (probably not) and the 304 does not have a dedicated cloak. Daniel probably used an Atlantis like shield cloak which may require a ZPM to activate (Daniel says that the ZPM helped) but definitely not 2 (I think it may come down to the Asgard shields while also supporting this sort of operation maybe being inherently less compatible but I would assume that in this case with some time it should be possible to alter them to support cloaking with standard reactors only, of course full phase cloaking could also be a future option or just improving their sensor jamming sweets, after all the naked eye is seldom useful in space and the ship is already invisible to most races below Goauld level so that may be the more viable option) But on a side note I'm not sure of the 304 could even handle the power from multiple ZPMs (or even a single 1 running at full output which almost never happens, even the Atlantis shield can't drain that much power without burning out first, I mean a ZPM can if required dump it's entire energy in an seconds if not less)

@@victorselve8349 but they could build a 305 that was capable of handling the additional output etc which I think was the one weakness of the ancient warships (once you make a ship such as this you only have one way of powering it). But yes I think it would allow them to make a larger vessel that flys faster, had tougher shields, maybe it could have some sort of super asgard beam weapon. They would for sure need to regulate the power etc but with complete access to the ancient database I don't see any issues with them designing and building such a ship. The only reason they didn't let the Atlantis expedition the ability to just build zpms would it make it too easy. They never really addressed that. What if you could fire whilst cloaked or maybe they could come up with some new toys like what vala had on that scout ship. Being able to project holograms into space etc. Lots of ways to use the power of the zpms

I wasn’t sure at first if this was real or fan made editing because how seem less it was I only knew for sure when they dropped the ring platform because I had just resent watched that episode again and the bomb rocket is from Atlantis when they attacked the replicators

That wasn't the Lucian Alliance home planet. The Horizon bomb was used against the Pegasus Galaxy Replicator home world. This clown posted a video of several episodes mashed together. Some are from SG1 and others from Stargate Atlantis. The Apollo and Daedalus also never combined their fighting power in any of the SG1 shows. They however did join together to attack the Wraith and the Replicators during Stargate Atlantis.

The Asgard didn't send their best ship they sent what they could spare .. they weren't destroyed .. they went home with the data they took about the Ori ships to create the beam weapons and stronger shields which they gave to SGC

Not sure, their supergates allow almost instantaneous trans-galactic transit. It's actually a better form of webway and the hyperdrive is also much more reliable and faster than warp jumps. Also, it's the Imperium, Terran Empire is Star Trek.

@@Starjumper2821 True, but you can predict where the enemy will be with Supergates. Considering the Ori ships would be destroyed by any faction in 40K with terrifying ease, that instant transport means nothing.

this makes me wonder if the writers killed the Asgard off for being a threat to the Ori, in terms of technological development. imagine what a fleet of Asgard ships with those beam weapons could do against the Ori. All of a sudden the heroes aren't facing impossible odds and the story doesn't seem as interesting. same reason they killed of the Tollan because they were just too much of a convenience for the heroes to call and get some help

Nice... Happy that we win this time....the other Ori video just shows how powerful they are and the fact is we would not stand a chance...

The odessy was never destroyed over the supergate battle. Earth only lost 1 ship during that battle and it was the Korolev. I just finished watching that episode lastnight.

The Asgard only sent one standard ship not their most powerful .. But they learned enough about Ori shields and ships to develop the beam weapon technology .. Their ship wasn't destroyed

I think it survived the battle cause one of the asgard was on the human ship trying to their teleporter, I think I later returned to it ship to continue its repairs

@@larsavaleth8151 that is true. In the before the supergate opened, Kvasir beamed back to his ship. Yet in 10x01 he was back on oddysey. But it could also mean that his ship was destroyed and he simply beamed over to Oddysey. Just like people from Korolev and even some Jaffa. But i will keep hope and believ the Oneill simply survived and then took of, leaving Kvasir behind

Please tell me I'm not the only one bothered by how the superstructure at the top of the Apollo and Daedelus switches from side to side? Compare 2:41 and 2:55. Bothered me all through the series.

@@martintaichl sorry, meant Apollo. Go back and watch the clips. Sometimes the superstructure is on the left, sometimes, like going through hyperspace, it's on the right. Compare 2:41 with 2:55.

The bombardment of the Planet is a good war scene it shows the true cost of war to the enemy and their allies(If they have any.). It shows that the Tau'ri(Humans of Earth) the 5th Race the Successor to the 4 Great Races Alliance that their are 1 of Protectors(If not the Main Protector of the Galaxy.) of the Galaxy is willing to do whatever is needed to win a war and bring peace to the Galaxy. It as well show's that the Tau'ri do have extremely powerful weapons of mass destruction(At least to most of the Milky Way.) and will use them against their enemies to show them the powerful of their resolve to give a message to other planets and races that join their enemies that if you have join them that they would use all their weapons in their vault to that now they must pay the price for they betray to them and the rest of the Galaxy with joining their Galaxy's Enemies.

That mega multi missile nuke scene was from stargate atlantis which each nuke targeted a asuran replicator cityship that was landed on the planet. It did not blow up the planet. Which in response the asuran replicators launched a satellite with a stargate in it to transmit a massive energy beam to try and destroy atlantis. Ruling by fear and weapons of mass destruction never works out in the end you just end up having your enemies launch there MAD's at you. Everyone loses the second MAD's start getting thrown around. What Antalisis Expedition did was practically genocide, they attacked unprovoked. It would be like launching nukes at another country just for building warships. As far as I am concerned the Atlantis Expedition brought in on themselves when they kept provoking and messing with there base code. Even at the end with the peaceful faction they lied to them and trapped them in space, after they made a deal to help them with ascension.

@@frdbrlw Well I could argue that it was the ancients that brought this to the Tau'ri(Since they are the children of the ancients) seem the Ancients creates the Asuran Replicators as an experimental new weapon to fight the Wraith and with them having a code programmed into the to be extremely aggressive even though they try to suppress it as much as possible; At the end the Anceints betrayed them and tried to destroy them; This felt the majority of the Asuran Replicators holding deep seed hatred for the Tau'ri and their human descendent(with the Asuran Replicators seeing the Tau'ri a offspring that received all their Parents love and attention thus Making them extremely jealous of the Tau'ri.) with them wanted to destroy them.

While the Star Wars universe is powerful especially faction such as the galactic empire. You gotta remember the high tier civilizations in star gate are trans galactic civilizations. Not to mention ascended beings are behind the Oris.

I always hated how every single time the Tau'ri got a leg up they just ended up facing the new bigger bad. It was so boring. Luke why could the heroes never progress to truly become stronger?

It's a bit silly that the Ascard are fighting here and can do nothing. Especially when you consider that later on they will bequeath their weapon technology to the humans and can thus defeat Orie.

well to be fair, it was one O´neill vs 4 Ori motherships. But bare in mind that this encounter led to the development of the plasma beam weapons. And we do not even know, if taht O´neill was destroyed. We never saw any wreckage. So it may have very well retreated.

If this scenario were true, I doubt the SGC would have leveled civilian cities just to take out an ori mother ship

I doubt everyone is in the Lucian alliance cartel, there would easily be civilians or even "interns" (slaves) working for them and not knowing what they are doing or purpose they are doing it for

well it was concieved that Lucia is heavily defended military base of the alliance so there should be no medieval towns ;)

@@martintaichl Except of course the video clip was of an Ori ship descending upon a medieval town just before the nukes were launched. Yeah, I know, you're just working with what you've got but you must admit that was an Ori ship descending on a medieval town. Even if was an advanced base that was attacked, I'm sure the people did not appreciate being saved from the Ori by being nuked.

What really happened with the Asgard ship at the battle? We see it make a pass and that's it. We don't see it destroyed or damaged. Then 2 years later like in this video. Asgard weapons cut Ori to pieces. Did the Asgard just peace out in the middle of the fight? Remember the Ori left one of each ship type alive to spread fear.

We dont know for sure. I guess it survived and a year later they developed plasma beams to counteract Ori..

It's very likely that it escaped. Without the data collected by its sensors, the Asgard probably wouldn't have been able to develop the plasma beam weapon with such efficiency against Ori shields in less than a year.

yea bad continuity that asgaurd ship shoulda taken down at least 2 of those ori ships.in the last episode ever they were taking out Ori ships at will with that Asgaurd Beam

The Asgard ship wasn't their best it was all that was available .. It was a standard ship ..

@@martintaichl the Asgard ship that Thor was on when captured by Anubis was not the most powerful .. The 3 ships that came to rescue Thor were much larger and a lot more powerful .. The ship in the Ori battle was an old design like Thor's ship

@@xadam2dudex no it was not. You have it wrong. Beliskner class (the original Thor's ship) is not the one that participated during the battle of Supergate. After 4x01 Small Victories, that introduced the O'neill class, we have seen Beliskner only once - during 5x22 where it was destroyed by Osiris. But since then, asgard used only O'neill and Jackson classes. And in the 9x20, it was indeed another O'neill class.

I always felt the O'Neill would have fared much better in this battle, and at least took out one of the Ori motherships.

Yeah I know. Unfortunately I did not have better quality Atlantis episodes, only SG1 and I did not want to mix the two qualities so I made it like this. Maybe in future, I will redo it in better quality. ;)

They diddnt send there best ships tho, the asgard sent tiny destroyers that they could spare, they were under staffed. The free Jafa and Lucian alliance ships were half war time built, and half minimalist ships. None the less if they were built to spec, they still would have lost.

well...Asgard sent one O´neill class ship which is the most powerfull class they have. Remember, it is a whole year after thei war with the Replis. Anyway, as you say, it does not really matter ;)

@@martintaichl the O'Neil class ship was soley desighned to combat replicators, amd the one shown in the fight was much smaller so was it really a O'Neil? They are supposed to greatly dwarf the 304s and the rebel ships.

I wrote "greatest massacre" and i think that is corect. As that was the battle where the good guys were basicslly anihilated. Sure. During the battle of antarctica most likely far more lives were lost, but those were the bad guys. This is from the point of view of the Earth 😉

Always this idiotic planet explosions. They have no idea, how much energy is needed for such an explosion

@@martintaichl There is Startrek, where a photon torpedo has 60 Mt TNT, about the Zar bomba. There is the Perry Rhodan series. They use transmitters to transmit bombs. The biggest battleships have 60 transform canons with 4000 Gt TNT each. This 240,000 Gt TNT equals the asteroid which wiped out the dinosaurs 66 million years ago. But blowing up a planet with this speed requires several billion times more energy.

@@pegefounder but sad thing is that it would not be so interestring. Take the expanse for example. It was very realistic in my mind yet they moved to some really sci-fi stuff with the protomolecule and the ring builders. (Though i personally love it the way it was.) I will not damn the whole show just because they manage to destroy a planet ;)
