That ticking sounds is SAC injectors. Not all injectors are equal

Check your exhaust manifold bolts for that ticking sound. Bad ass truck.

That taping nosie in the motor is the valve lash needing ajustment

Look into light bar vibration dampeners it should stop that wind noise

Some states actually recognize a turbo as a muffler and yes compounds are quieter just not the whistle lol

Sometimes lift pump makes a ticking noise once it wears out. Push the plunger a few times while its running noise should go away and come back.

Part of that whistle is a boost leak

Do a vid after you fix that boost leak!!

I could listen to the sound of a 12 valve all day.

No flares on the nasty red, looks good the way it is ...

U guys should try a 6.6L duramax

The twin turbos help make it quieter

I'd get a different whistle for the small Turbo.

did you have to put a boost adjuster in the waste gate line so it builds more than stock boost with the stock waste gate on there.

Damn, those turbo whistles are laouder than my 12 valve, must be bigger than my turbos.

With the bigger tires you are going faster than the speedometer reads

That whistle ur hearing is part of ur leak that's not all turbo ur hearing. It's either a intercooler boot leaking or exhaust leak

LOUD 'N' PROUD we had a stock second gen that made that same “turbo whistle” noise. Turns out where we welded the exhaust together behind the turbo there was a small leak. Fixed the leak and the noise was gone.

Defiently has an exhasut leak you can hear the ticking and the whistling

Have you taken out the silencer ring in the turbo?

Compunds will male the truck much quieter compared to single turbo

I recommend a boost gauge

Others have said it but the crazy loud whistle is most likely from the exhaust leak, as well as that ticking you are hearing. I doubt it the manifold is leaking. I would guess its either a boot or and v band clamp.

Your dads got a good hat on best yard equipment ive ever used got the same hat too, need a LnP hat to show some support! Man i wish i could do what your doing to your truck only to mine though shes a gaser but looks good for 22 yr. Old. Just doesnt go into reverse right off the bat and then second to third gotta let off the gas😭 itll be tax money well spent just that wait though.

Maybe an idea for the light bar if you haven’t already had this passed by you. Maybe mount the light bar on the headache rack make some custom mounts on the rack and leave some extra wires so you can flip it around if you need some light doing other things. Good video

Since your getting the transmission built! Video the tach and speedo and full throttle it to like 80 or something. I wanna see how my little ole build stacks up to those compounds. Yours is automatic and mine is manual. I don't bang gears. I just shift it a little faster than normal.

That ticking sound you are hearing could be a exhaust leak after seeing the smoke under the hood when you reved it. Try taking a look at it good luck looks bad ass. Cant wait to see it when you have a built transmission

I think that truck is sweet except the bed if I remember right that's a PJ style of bed clearly from CM which I was a welder there extremely fast pace kind of work environment they wanted us to build 25-30 beds a day which would have been no problem when everyone showed up for work everyday point is regardless if everyone showed up or not they still wanted there quota met whether it meant slapping metal together and putting some super quick squiggly bull crap welds on it which I hope isn't the case for you and your dad alot of the beds came out good by my standards however there is a bunch of beds out there with those squiggly welds on it should be 2 welds on open side of C channel and one on back side

Man how those trucks have been fixed up. Still amazed how nice the dually came out. The winner of the new give away will definitely have a hard time to choose.

Putting 6.0 intercooler on the 7.3l I got it for a 100 dollers needs a smaller boot on the drivers side

That new ticking might be the new injectors. Some injector styles are louder than others
